    For all the same reasons posted here! It would pop off in the rolled position and I worried I would drop my IPad if I wasn't careful. I loved that my IPad went to sleep when it was closed and that it could act as a stand in both the horizontal and vertical positions (if it would stop popping off). Then I found my Incipio back case. It is compatible with the Smart Cover and snaps over the hinges so that it holds the cover on tightly. I can pick up my iPad by the cover now without it coming off. And the colors closely match the smart covers! So .. I'm buying a new iPad for my grandchildren, and I'm getting a new Smart Cover here in pink!

    I bought this cover when I bought my iPad 2 and it's done the job for me as much as expected. I leave the case on my iPad as an extra screen protector when it.s in my zipper case. There will always be bad reviews of every product but none of the products out there are perfect, each has their flaws but I would say I'm happy with my pink smart cover and that it's a beautiful true pink!

    The cover doesn't fall off and does its job protecting the screen and propping the iPad up when I need it to. The only problem with this cover is that it gets dirty easily. Through normal use it had accumulated a few black marks from various surfaces, and I guess the cover is thoroughly stained. Try as I might, I can't get the marks off.

    I don't think there's any way to get around this unless you never use the cover or get the black one. Most of the other colors are pretty light and would probably stain easily. Personally, I just don't like my cover looking cruddy. If I could do it all over again, I probably wouldn't get this color.

    This cover is amazing, people who are complaining of it offering little protection I have one question for you, would you expect a car cover to prevent your car from damage if a tree fell on it? No. So what makes you think you can drop your ipad with the COVER on it and it magically not be cracked. It covers the screen against everyday scratches extremely well! The colour is great and the way it allows the iPad to stand in a various positions is perfect. The only thing I would complain of is that it does detach easily when pulled, but then easily magnetises back on.

    personally i lie this cover, but y problem is that it only covers the screen. i you are clumsy and are worried about dings this is not the cover for you. otherwise it is great! also it slips off occasionally so beware!!!

    I got my pink Smart Cover for my new iPad for Christmas and I like it very much : it's pretty, protects my screen and automatically locks the iPad. BUT, it's a little "wobbly" when you fold it, especially if not used on a hard surface. I'm really glad I got the carrying case as well cause it'll be way more trustworthy when I use for work (with kids).

    I have had my iPad 2 for7-8 months now and LOVE it. I purchased the cover (in blue) at the same time as it was recommended. I tried a couple different cases in the beginning but the smart cover won hands down as the preferred case. It helps with battery life and protects the screen....as for the slight marks left behind? very minimal but I use a stylist most of the time. I have just recently noticed the magnet is getting weaker. It still latches on very quickly and easily but is slipping off more easily than ever before. However, if it ever goes completely (to the point where it is not safe) I will likely buy another one!

    First off, I really like the pink. I find it compliments the white iPad very nicely.

    I find that it holds up the iPad perfectly (of course it needs to be folded properly), and allows for ease of use.

    In my opinion the smart cover is by NO MEANS a case for your iPad. It's a wonderful concept, does an excellent job of preventing scratches on the screen but I would never take my iPad out without additional protection. I use the smart cover plus an InCase sleeve and the two compliment each other well.

    The smart cover has been a great purchase and I strongly recommend it.
