Reviews for Apple 30-pin Digital AV Adapter

I loved this product prior to upgrading to iOS6. It now does not work with my iPad (3rd Gen) or iPhone 4s. I do not recommend anyone buy it until Apple resolves these issues.

Paid 18 bucks for a HD movie from iTunes using an iPad and was hoping to watch it on a TV. Instead iPad displayed error. "Cannot Play Movie. The connected display is not authorized to play protected movie."

What gives? I bought the movie and the adapter from Apple.

When I had iOS5, it work perfectly; after I installed iOS 6, I can not use it anymore on my New iPad 3. The screen on my TV now plays everything with a bright pink color and is very annoying to watch something or even mirror my iPad screen on the TV. And I know is not the adapter is the iOS 6 because it works with my iPhone 4, to watch Netflix or a movie that I have on my phone. As a consumer I feel really very sad, for all the mistakes Apple has made in the past months. Hoping they can fix it soon.

As a teacher I depend on my iPod Touch, iPad, and now my iPhone to carry my videos to classes, meetings, and workshops. The upgrade apparently resulted in the loss of the ability to show through TVs or projectors (my principle use). I am angry and rushing to find my DVD players and all of my DVD source material to return to an earlier age. THANKS FOR THE SCREW-UP APPLE

This was a wonderful addition to my Apple collection.
Until I upgraded my iPad (post iPad 2 version) to iOS 6.

Now 'this device is unsupported'.

I purchased a camera adapted for my iPod (they call it the classic now) but when the iPod touch came out, it didn;t work either. Built in obsolescence.....love it,

About to buy one of these for new iPad but saw some posts so checked with Apple to be told that this device DOES NOT WORK WITH IOS6.

I think this should be said on this page by Apple rather than reviewers!

The cable allows you to mirror iPad is play but does not play any movies rented or purchased on iTunes because they are hdcp protected. I have 2 hd tvs, plasma and led, both less than 2 years old, both do not support hdcp. Apple suggest that the solution is to buy a new tv. Very nice :-(

Don't buy this if you use ios6.

I can't get this device to work , just tells me that iPad doesn't support the device. Apple refuse to help because I bought the iPad in march even though I only got the device 2 weeks ago. Poor service apple I want a refund.

Bought this a few weeks before the ios6 update only to find it no longer works with the update. No fix or explanation from Apple. Very disappointed and annoyed.
