For running I recommend the nano or the the shuffle and the nano even has Nike plus so you an pair it with some Nike shoes that are compatible and the shuffle is of course very light and you can clip it to your shirt too.hope this helps

Up to 15 hours of audio playback when fully charged. 2 hours of charge time takes it to 80% charge and a full charge is 3 hours. Hope this has helped understand your device better.

the 4th generation ipod touch is great, it has a chrome back and comes in black and white. the 4g is very slim and perfect for on the go. however the 5th generation is much more improved, it has a smooth backing, the colours are red pink blue yellow grey/white and black, the 5g is slimmer that the 4g , another fantastic thing is the app that the ipod 5th generation introduces is Siri. Siri is a handy app that you can ask for help and personally talk too, to open siri you hold the home button down and the app appears.

I like the iPod touch. You can have music, movies, camera, video, apps/games. Use wifi for internet & it's very compact. Can't go wrong!

At most Apple Retail Stores, you can find a Lightning to 30-pin Adaptor for your iPod docking station.

That depends on what you want to use it for. If you want to be able to call/text in school (although I'm not sure you're supposed to...), iPhone would be best. iPod touch could be used for texting (using an app) or using the internet. If all you want to do is listen to music, the iPod Shuffle, Classic, or Nano should suffice.

The only iPods that can use FaceTime, video, and text is the iPod touch 4th generation and the iPod touch 5th generation. NOTE: on the iPod it's called iMessage which can ONLY be sent between iPod, iPad, iPad, and Mac ONLY if they are able for I message. For the iPod 4th and 5th, iPad 2-mini, and the iPhone 3GS-4s will have to run on iOS 5 and up. If some one has a lets say a droid phone you CANNOT text them using iMessage because they are not an apple idevice. You will have to go to the App Store and download an texting app that will ONLY work over wifi if used on the iPod touch.

Yes it can with the built-in Messages app or you can purchase Social Networking apps from the App Store.
