QA Xsan
Product No Longer Available
I want to run multiple mail servers (on xserve) from different location and let xsan manage the storage . Any documentation which explains the setup?
Our company has a mail server (xserve running on Mac OS X 10.6.2) running from middle-east (Country : Oman). We want to place two additional mail servers running the same domain in two different locations (at U.S and UK). For the setup we will be having three different ISPs for each mail server. All the three mail servers will be running on xserves and Mac OS X 10.6.2.
My questions are:
1) Do we need Xsan. If yes, will the setup work since all the server will not be connected to a fibre channel switch. I have referred Xsan_2_Admin_Guide_v2.2.pdf.
2) If we don't need Xsan, could you please refer me to a setup document. I have gone through Mail_Service_Admin_v10.6.pdf and Peachpit's "Server Essentials" book. Both of them don't explain about mail clustering.
