First go to system preferences and click on mouse. With the options to choose how to use the different sides of the mouse, I made the right side of the mouse the secondary button.
After that setting, to right click you click on the top right hand side of the mouse and it becomes the right click.- Answered by Larry E

If secondary click is enabled within the customized Mouse settings under System Preferences, click just to the right of the scroll ball. If you haven't enabled the right click feature within System preferences, chances are that you will only primary click.
