i wanted to know whether the ap.tv had internal storage so i can add my media directly to it

    The Apple TV does have 8GB of onboard storage but you cannot access it directly so you cannot use this to store your own media on it.

    You can stream media to it either through iTunes in the cloud (i.e. renting a movie or buying a movie from iTunes or any music you have purchased from iTunes) or by hooking up to a computer on the same internal network which is running iTunes and playing any media you have stored in iTunes on that computer.

    You can also use it to view Neflix (with a subscription) or YouTube or Vimeo (for free).

    You can also use it to view photos that are in your Photostream account (i.e. taken with either an iPhone or iPad) or streaming music from iTunes Match (with a subscription.
