    Apple iPhone Dock

    Works good if you don't have the case on. Don't like having to take my case off to plug it in. Need to make the bottom base to fit with the case on it and not have to purchase another case that the bottom comes off.

    Great Product!

    I love this dock! It fits my iPhone 3gs perfectly and the rubber bottom insures the dock stays in place. My only complaint is it doesn't come with a cable but I have a few just laying around.

    Non-User Friendly

    You cannot use this product if your iPhone has a cover - you must remove the cover before you dock the phone. As a result it immediately becomes an inconvenience, rather than a useful piece of equipment. However, mine looks super stylish in its' box.

    3g/3gs i phone dock

    well one thing i was unhappy about was the fact that it didn't come with a cable,still its ok as a cable did come with my 3gs when i brought it so ime able to use this now.the product its self works fine.its well made looks good & the sound/music i here if i plug a 3.5 jack into the line out on the back of it works a treat.i brought mine from o2 at a cost of £19.00,i feel its a little over priced for what it can do & it would of been lovely if it came with my iphone 3gs when i brought it.still all in all ime very pleased with this apple iphone 3g/3gs dock.i rate this product with 4 stars as it didn't come with a cable to hook it up to my i mac.

    Very Good!

    I bought this when I got my iPhone with the thought in mind that I can only use it for charging and syncing. Then I found out that you can actually use it to play your music when you connect it to your cinema sorround system, and voila, best sound came out! Saved me money from getting myself a docking station just to be able to play my music. It's a must have gadget if you don't want anymore bulky gadgets to play your music if you already have a sound system.

    Can't control volume from iPhone!

    Here's why I am returning this product:

    I just bought this from the Apple store

    I use my iPhone as my bedside alarm, and to listen to music.

    I plugged my speakers into the back of the dock (into the 3.5mm audio output)

    When I tried to turn the volume down (whether from my iPhone screen or from the buttons on the side of the iPhone) I could not do so.

    In order to control the volume, I HAD to do so from the actual speakers. What's the point?!

    I am going to return this item to the store and instead, I am going to buy a universal dock so that I can still control the volume.

    No case

    You have to remove your case in order to charge the i phone. Buy a case that has a removable bottom so it fits into this dock.

    My husband and i bought the dock for charging and when linking to the computer for file transfer, be aware when you buy the dock thats all you get no leads or anything are included so what you see is what you get! The leads you get with your phone fit into the back of the dock and work beautifully together!

    The dock does charge your phone - its works well, i use it beside the bed so the phone stands up - rather handy for alarms to get you up in the morning!

    We love it i think you will too! A clever bit of kit! : )

    Excellent in the car!!

    I have attached this dock to a custom made plate that is mounted just above the drivers side air vent of my car. It aligns perfectly for great visability and is in perfect reach, it looks like a built-in GPS factory option The audio wire and usb cable is routed underneath the dashboard and console to my stereo and power supply so the device is always charging. An added bonus is the audio output of the dock has far greater sound quality than the headphone jack from the phone. Also the dock seems to help boost the phones signal strength.

    I looked at all types of aftermarket adapters; most were either too expensive, to dysfunctional or just too big. This setup cost me just over $9 for the hardware plus the $30 I paid for the dock.

    Must have accessory for iphone

    The iPhone 3G dock is something i have seen in apple stores for a while, of course being a teenager this was too over priced and originally thought would be useless.
    However by the time Christmas had came and stocking fillers were needed i suggested the iPhone 3G dock.
    Come Christmas morning i opened to find it, happy with the present I opened it and found the dock (without leads however which is why it doesn't get 4 star rating), light and small it went beside my bed with the AC adaptor and lead.
    After a usage for 2 months i have to say this is a brilliant accessory and a must have, it really give s the iPhone its place
    However be aware it is only for the 'naked' iphone so my recommendation of a case to accompany is the incase slider which you can find on the apple site which makes it possible to dock by removing bottom section of the case

    Nice piece of kit!

    Just bought one of these from my NEW local Apple store (Eldon Square, Newcastle). Its a fine piece of kit and is very elegant. Its slightly over-priced for what it is but my iPhone looks so happy sitting in it thats its worth the money! :-)

    Buyer beware

    My partner brought me to charge my I phone 3gs but it is so unreliable that I have given up using it. I would expect to be able to charge my phone and the battery to be full in the morning. However, with this dock on ocassion I would find myself without battery on my phone after I had put it on charge overnight, or that the battery was not fully charged in the morning!

    Eventually, gave up when my I phone informed me that this device was not compatible for charging my phone, when it states that it is for charging, syncing and data transfer.

    To be honest I think the device is poorly made as it is difficult to dock the iPhone and it is too large to provide any support to the phone whilst it is docked. I would not bother spending the money As it is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.

    Dock Boosts Signal Strength

    I live in Vermont and currently have spotty reception with AT&T. I bought this dock at the Apple store and noticed that as soon as I dock the phone, I automatically get 5 bars of 3G. I'm not really sure how this works, but I don't even need to plug the dock into a power outlet either. I'm satisfied as long as I'm receiving good signal. Now if only AT&T can provide evidence of having excellent coverage across the nation...like they claim ALL the time.

    Issue with Case or Skins with Doc

    The dock itself looks and works great. I don't know if it was designed to charge faster, but my 3Gs charges very fast. Beware - The phone will not fit in the doc if you have any case at all covering the bottom. I have tried several cases and you just can't get a snug fit to connect. Great product, and would have received 5 Stars if the dock allowed for a larger girth.

    Superb quality dock!

    Ignore the "this won't fit" review!
    This is SPECIFICALLY designed to fit the iPhone 3G & 3Gs only WITHOUT a case!
    Not iPods or iPhone 2G - for these you need the Universal Dock, simple!

    Great for the desk, but I use mine on the bedside table - handy for overnight charging & for putting the iPhone alarm on snooze with dreary eyes!

    No cables supplied, you just use the charge lead that came in the box with your iPhone.

    Only downside is that it's overpriced - hence 4 stars.
    Great product & you won't be disappointed.

    Alright Product

    I bought this product when i bought my mac. It useful but you don't need it. All it does is charge the device standing up, its nothing fantastic, it's for people who are too lazy to use their iphone and hold it in their hand. its nothing fantastic and you don't need it. For 30$ its not worth it
