Can Same charger be used for iPad and iPod and iPhone

- Asked about: iPad
Best AnswerNo.
The iPad (third and fourth gen) uses a 12 watt charger. The 12 watt charger will charge all iOS devices (All iPads, all iPods, all iPhones - just plug in the right cable - 30 pin or Lightning).
The iPad and iPad 2 use a 10 watt charger. This will charge iPad, iPad 2 and all iPhones and iPods with the right cable attached (30 pin or lightning). It will not effectively charge a New iPad (third and fourth gen).
The iPhone and iPods use a 5 watt charger. This will charge all iPhones and iPods with the right cable attached (30 pin or lightning). It will not effectively charge any iPad.
Basically, one can charge any device with the 12 watt charger as it is powerful enough to charge the most demanding and least demanding iOS devices.
One can purchase a 12 watt or 5 watt adaptor at the Apple Store or Apple Store OnLine. Don't worry, all the new adaptors look different from each other so you won't grab the wrong one on your way out the door for vacation!
The lower wattage adaptors are best suited for the devices with which they came.
Rule of Thumb: A lower wattage adaptor will NOT charge a device that demands a higher wattage adaptor but it is perfectly safe to plug in a higher wattage adaptor into your devices that use lower wattage units.
Please note that the iPod shuffle uses a special mini jack/USB cable - not a 30 pin or Lightning.- Answered by Sassy S from Kansas City

- Asked about: Lightning to USB Cable (1 m)
Best AnswerDisappointingly it is only USB 2.0. Says so right there in the details. I was hoping for a lightning to thunderbolt cable or at least USB 3.0. What's the point of a new dock if you can't at least get much faster transfer speeds?

Can I use the same charger for the ipad mini and iphone 5?
- Asked by Lorrain L from Sunny Isles
- Jun 6, 2013
- Flag as inappropriate
AnswerNO ! you cannot use the same charger !
yes it is correct that they both use the Lightening cable to connect but the difference is that the IPhone Charger is a 5W 1Amp charger and a I Pad charger is a 10W 2amp charger !
if you have a I Pad mini Charger you can also use it for the IPhone 5 but not the reverse !
Usually when you use a IPhone 5 Charger with a I Pad Mini it does charge but really slowly !- Answered by Rushad V from Chicago

What hands free bluetooth device (not an earphone) is there for my car that is compatible with an iPhone?
I am looking like for a hands free Bluetooth device for my car that will announce the name or number of incoming calls and have voice recognition for outgoing calls. I want something like the Motorola Roadster2 but the Roadster2 uses motospeak to announce incoming calls and motospeak is only compatible with android.

lighting adaptor
I was reading the reviews for the lightning adaptor. It appears that it works for some devices and not for others. I purchased a office audio system (Sony) that I used to plug in my iPhone 4 into. I purchased an off brand but the audio doesn't come through. If I purchase the Apple brand and it still doesn't work, will I be able to send it back for a refund?

I've got an iPhone5 but no Mac - is it possible to connect the Wireless Keyboard by Bluetooth directly with the iPhone5 ?
I have no Mac - can I connect the Wireless Keyboard to iPhone 5 by Bluetooth directly?
- Asked by Johanna Maria L

- Asked about: Apple Wireless Keyboard - English (…
AnswerYes it's defiantly possible. Just follow these steps:
1. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone; this may seem obvious.
2. You’ll see the ‘Now Discover-able’ notice.
3. Push and hold down the pairing button on your keyboard; on the Apple keyboard, this is the round flush button on the right-hand side of the keyboard’s round base, and you’ll want to be holding down the Fn key while you hold the round flush button.
4. Hold down the button on the device until it changes to pairing mode; this is usually apparent when the status light changes its flashing pattern (the Apple keyboard does two quick flashes, then a brief pause, then repeats).
5. Watch the screen of your iPhone: initially it will say that it has detected a ‘Keyboard’ whose status is not paired.
6. Keep the button held down long enough, and the iPhone will pull the identifier from the device and this information will be displayed in the list.
7. Tap the name of the new device you’d like to pair. After a few seconds, you’ll get a screen saying that the keyboard would like to pair with your iPhone. Type the number the iPhone gives you on the keyboard, then press Enter.
8. The status screen will now say that your keyboard is connected.
Note that your iPhone and keyboard will remain paired as long as you leave Bluetooth on. This may be useful because you can enter your pin code off your keyboard when the unit is locked.- Answered by Brodyn W from Perth

- Asked about: Lightning to 30-pin Adapter
AnswerYes!!!
I use this adapter with the I-Home AlarmClock/Radio dock and it works great. Once your I-pod touch 5th generation is connected it will prompt you to download a free app onto your device that will take about 60 seconds. Once you have done that it will work fine. The sound is great and uncorrupted. I would recommend this as its the best way to adapt this device.- Answered by Gail C from Woodbridge
