More control at your fingertips.
Magic Trackpad gives you a whole new way to control what’s on your Mac desktop computer. When you perform gestures, you actually interact with what’s on your screen. You feel closer to your content, and moving around feels completely natural. Swiping through pages on screen is just like flipping through pages in a magazine, and inertial scrolling senses the momentum in your fingers as you move up and down a page.
More to touch, more to love.
Your fingers will fall for the Magic Trackpad. It’s made with smooth, wear-resistant glass that feels great to the touch. And it’s nearly 80 percent larger than the built-in trackpad on the MacBook Pro, giving you plenty of room to perform gestures. Because the entire surface of Magic Trackpad is a button, you can click on objects just as you would using a traditional mouse. And Magic Trackpad sits at the same height and angle as the Apple Wireless Keyboard, so you can go from trackpad to keyboard in one seamless motion.
Bluetooth technology.
Magic Trackpad connects to your Mac via Bluetooth wireless technology. Use it in conjunction with the Apple Wireless Keyboard for a cable-free, uncluttered workspace. And if you feel like venturing away from your desk, Magic Trackpad maintains a reliable and secure connection up to 33 feet away from your Mac.

Surfin' from the couch! SWEET!
As soon as I saw this thing, I bought it. I use my Mac Mini hooked to a 42" HDTV, so using a mouse from the couch is pretty terrib le. Even nice mice like the magic mouse have trouble tracking unless I use a lap desk and mouse pad, which isn't the most comfortable solution. With this, I can surf in comfort and give all of my iMac-using buddies Mac envy!
Besides, with all of the multitouch gestures on the pad, this is the most versatile pointing device Apple makes! Here's hoping they make an iOS-based Apple TV and then make the touchpad a gaming controller too! …- Written by Richard F from Lancaster

Great idea!
After purchasing the new magic mouse I thought it would be a replacement for my new MBP multi-touch trackpad, but it didn't allow all of the same features. This is a great addition to my bluetooth keyboard & compliments my Waycom pad for photo work. I'm not sure if it's really 'worth' the upgrade over the magic mouse, but it is nice to have such a large gesture-based surface, much like the iPad. Props to Apple for thinking outside the box on this one, although the possibility & 'idea' of this technology could have happened a few years ago. …

finally, an ergonomic film editing solution
I use a Macbook Pro for editing films and use a stand to bring it's screen closer to eye level. I've had an editing keyboard for s ome time that is suspended from the desk just above my knees but I had to reach up the the MBP to use the trackpad. This Magic Trackpad is the gadget I've been asking Apple for! …

worked great ... until it didn't
after a couple years of clicking, something has failed inside so that the mouse behaves insanely - spontaneously jumping around th e screen, opening windows on it's own, and not responding to gestures. From search of forums, it looks like this is not an uncommon eventuality with trackpads, and apple of course ignores the subject. …

Why replace AA batteries in 2013?
This device eats AA batteries which must be periodically replaced or recharged. Even worse, the pad's response time is slightly sl ower than the pad on a Macbook Pro, which makes navigation annoying. …

Awesome product
It takes about a day to fully understand the power and potential of this magic trackpad and after that it's just addictive.
Ever ything else seems archaic now. Such a great product and for an extra $30 the Apple battery charger (with 6 AAs) is the green solution.
Great job. …- Written by Bart W from Elsternwick

can you right click with the magic trackpad ?
- Asked by Paul N from Oakville
- Mar 11, 2011
Best Answer
Yes, you certainly can. You can assign the lower left or lower right area of the Trackpad to act as the right click and you can also check "Secondary tap" under the Two finger options. This means that whenever you tap two fingers at the same time, the system will recognize that as the right click.
It's very easy to configure what you want one, two, three, and even four finger tapping and swiping to accomplish. System Preferences is where these configurations are made. …- Answered by Jack T from Los Angeles

will one trackpad work with multiple macs?
- Asked by Brett V from Allentown
- Apr 24, 2013
Answer
Yes, it can be used on both of your macs. However, it can only be paired with one at a time. So, if you were using it on your macbook pro and wanted to use it on your macbook, you would need to unpair it with your macbook pro and then pair it with your macbook. This process does take some time.
If you frequently use both computers simultaneously, I would recommend investing in an additional mouse. …- Answered by Erik P from Apple Valley

Does the magic trackpad work better than the magic mouse?
- Asked by Nicolaas S from Rumford
- Jan 14, 2011
Best Answer
Well, for me personally, I never unpacked my Magic Mouse after working with my Magic Trackpad for a few hours. However, that's subjective and merely my own opinion. I have read that some people like to use both, depending on what they do on their Mac's.
Battery life is also not that great with the Trackpad. I purchased the Apple battery charger and believe me, between the wireless keyboard, the Magic Mouse, and the Trackpad, it won't take long until it will pay for itself. …- Answered by Jack T from Los Angeles
