    Great sound, small package

    • Written by from Oakmont

I've had these for about a year so have tested them for a while. The sounds is excellent for all types of music and the system when tweaked via iTunes is very flexible—classical, blues, rock and folk. It's easy to control the volume. The remote is nice and simple. I give a lot of public speeches and bought this system for its excellent sound for voices, even if played loud in an auditorium. The case (I purchased separately) is thin and small enough to carry on business trips so I can use my own sound without relying on "ify" (typically no base) systems in conference hotels. I like that the speakers are bottom weighted and sturdy. When not on the road I have books and other stuff smashed against them on my desk and they remain in place doing exactly what they are supposed to: producing great sound.

Nice design, but subpar sound quality for the money

    • Written by from Highlands Ranch

These speakers are very nicely designed, but despite the claims the sound is still tinny sounding. The power adapter is large and equally the size of a 3rd speaker. I returned mine as speakers with equal or better sound quality may be purchased for half the cost. IMHO you are better served spending your money elsewhere.

Outstanding perfomance from a low profile set

    • Written by from Pittsburgh

I had reviewed several desktop speaker sets and was not only surprised but incredibly fulfilled upon listening to the clarity and performance from the Bose MusicMonitor. Crisp highs supported with deep mid range and subtle bass performance has me astounded when I appreciate the small compact size.

Many speakers come close, but non yet have I heard that provide the results of these. A must for the avid listener.

    For Mac & Stage Piano

Great price for the build quality, sound quality and portability. It is compact and elegant. Sounding great for both my MacBook Pro and Yamaha Stage Piano CP33. No need for bulky subwoofer.

    Not worth the money

    • Written by from Decatur

When I purchased these speakers I expected something much bigger and much better. First the package comes in a much larger box giving a false impression. Then, after setting up the tiny speakers and playing something, another disappointment, the sound is small too. You are only paying for the name brand with these speakers and are not getting bang for your buck. These speakers shouldn't cost more than $100. I just wish the other reviewers were more accurate about their descriptions, I could have saved my money.

I have these speakers since Nov last year. They are simply awesome. They don't work well if we keep them on a soft surface, like a carpet or a table cloth. Keep them on the Desk directly and you will start searching for a Woofer and wonder where all the Bass is coming from. But of-course it doesn't replace a good 2.1 system. For the portability and the Quality of sound it is worth it. The carrying case is also quite handy, you might wanna check that out too.

    Pretty Good But....

    • Written by from Clear Lake

I have to say I like the quality of these speakers. They are very well made, and look cool. I am using them on my 26" Samsung HDTV (because the speakers in the tv aren't great).

I think these speakers are good, and I know there crystal clear. However I haven't had anything to really "PUMP" them, and I think that's what I need to do to convince myself they rock other then listening to the news.

I have the Bose Companion 5 Speakers on my iMac and those are the best speakers ever.

    I love it

I struggled for a month whether to buy this $400 computer speakers. I finally yield to its beauty.
The packaging and workmanship of the product is first class. After connected it to my MacBook Pro and opened my iTune. My 20' x 40' family room filled with concert hall music. I was overwhelmed. The whole system (2 speakers, power converter and cables, and remote control,) can be put in a costume designed carrying case of 13"x11"x3-1/2". The total weight is 5.5 lb.
I can bring a concert hall music system to anywhere I want. It is a good deal!
