    Horrible quality

    • Written by from MOREHEAD CITY

I bought this cable a few months ago, to replace a AUX cable that was too short. The sound quality of this was amazing. I used this cable in my car so I could plug in my iPhone and listen to my tunes and such. However, after a day or so the plastic end caps the cover the red portion of the cable cable came off. A little superglue fix that issue. a few months after the purchase I started noticing that sound was only coming out of the right side of my car. I decided to check it out so I inspected the cable. I discovered that the cable was slightly bent when I moved the cable sound started coming out of the left side of the car. The fact that this cable was damaged within months of usage makes me question the quality of Monster products. the cable that I replaced with the Monster iCable 800 was a short Bose cable that came with my Sounddock. That cable worked for years, and still works today. I do not recommend the Monster iCable 800 for iPhone and iPod to anyone.

    Clear and Powerfull Sound

I recently bought these online and was really impressed by how much better my iPod sounded in my car. They are also the perfect lengh for my car. It was a big step up from the orignal 3.5mm cord I bought at Radioshack.

    Broke in record breaking time.

    • Written by from Cary

I purchased this cable at best buy. At first the cable did a fine job. However after 4 weeks of use in my truck I was losing signal in the left speakers. Apparently one of the small wires inside this cable had broken. I never abused the cable and was actually gentle with it. Save your money and just buy the cheapest one that you can find. There is no difference in the sound. At least not a difference that my ears can tell.

    Just okay

    • Written by from Belleville

I must not be getting the same products as some of you other people!! This cable was OKAY. Nothing spectacular.

Hook it up, listen to your iPod or iPhone. No big deal. The price was affordable.

Just thought it would be somehow BETTER because of all the shining reviews.

    Belkin is better

    • Written by from MINNEAPOLIS

The Belkin brand cable is better then this. I have a BMW with aux in and the Monster product sounded worse then the Belkin brand. I didn't think there could be a difference in cables, but there is.

    Great!

    • Written by from Eads

Monster instrument cables aren't my favorite, but the stereo cables are absolutely amazing! The sound quality is in no way degraded, and there is no trace of that static you hear in bad cables(i believe you all know what i mean?). I use this in my car and keep the middle console lid closed on top of it all the time, and the cord still works flawlessly! This cable is perfect for your car, but it is a bit on the short side! So, if your auxiliary port is not within a foot or so of where you will be, i would go and buy a longer cable, for after about a foots reach, it becomes slightly uncomfortable. Hope i helped!

Nice Cable that does what it is suppose to

    • Written by from Moorefield

This cable does what it is suppose to. It is just the right length and I hear zero hiss, just great sound coming from my iPhone headphone port. I bought this item after a cable I had from Scoche that I bought at a popular big box store stopped playing in stereo and rather just played on the left side. This Monster Cable did the trick.

    too short

    • Written by from wellington

great idea but the aux plug for my car (range rover) is in the back of the center console and the 3' cord barely reaches up to connect ipod so that i can view and play it. a longer one would enable me to put it on the seat next to me or in one of the cup holders. sound is excellent.

    Bad sound quality

New mercedes with the auxilary connection...sound quality is poor...sound is muffled with the
highs and lows cut out. FM radio sounds better.
