    destroys the competition

this is the king of all keyboard covers. i've used the iskin version before and found it rather thick and difficult to type with. This is actually extremely smooth! and it doesnt require excessive pressure on the keys for strokes to register. High grade material no doubt.

    Highly recommended.

    Good, but hard to clean

    • Written by from Hoffman Estates

I bought this protector when I ordered my 2010 MBP. Overall it's a good keyboard protector, but is very difficult to clean. I have naturally oily hands, so the protector got smudged up pretty quickly. Water alone does not remove the grease. Using a grease-cutting dishsoap like Dawn did very little to help. Since washing, the keyboard protector now has a very washed-out look, like a salted road in the winter.

    Very good but not perfect

    • Written by from Singapore

Well, I bought a silicone skin right with my 15' mbp, but after couple of week i found myself really unsatisfied with it. Problem with silicone skins is that when u type they don't let your fingers slide on keys, slowing ur typing way too much.
Moshi skin is from urethane, enabling this essential (well, for me) sliding motion.
It's also very very thin and transparent, as stated.
And yes, as people have reported, I would like it to mold more precisely, sometimes (especially when u use arrow keys) it does slip off a bit, but still it's much better than my silicone skin.
5 stars from me with a little comment about slipping off a bit (really a bit, don't worry, go for it)

Maybe I'll get used to it, but so far...

    • Written by from Savannah

This thing slips all over the place! Every keystroke shifts it out of position; I'm using it out of sheer stubborness now, because I spent the money and don't want to think it was a total waste. Yes, I've used a keyboard cover before and loved it, in fact I can't remember ever having to reposition it except when I took it off the keyboard for cleaning. I forget the brand, but it was a slightly thicker, heavier translucent silicone. The weight is probably what kept it in place, and it held so well that it became virtually unnoticeable.

I bought the Moshi based on reviews here. Maybe I have a different typing style than most people, but for me this is turning out to be more trouble than it's worth.

    I have two!

    • Written by from Tulsa

I bought this for a friend and liked it so much that I bought it for myself. It adheres well and goes unnoticed while typing and then it peels back for easy clean up. i used glass cleaner on it. It cleaned well and it didn't cause anything weird to happen to the silicone.

So finally I got rid of it...and Bought the macbook FX from iskin...It is the best thing so far..nothing beats it...I would recommend u to shed extra dollars and but it online from iskin instead of wasting money here...

WORKS GREAT SO THIN DON'T EVEN NOTICE!

    • Written by from New York

I've had many keyboard protectors for my Powerbooks and MacBook Pros, but this one is the best! Bought one for the MBP 13" 2.66. Thinner than the silicone ones and you don't even notice it's there Fits perfectly over the keys without getting in the way. Most of the time you don't even know it's there. Price is right... highly recommend it for every MB and MBP.

    A bit dissapointed

    • Written by from Bucharest

After almost two months of extensive use on my MacBook Pro 13 Unibody (used it mainly for programming during this period) these are the problems I found :
    - grease and dirt will stick to it, and get transfered on the screen when closing the laptop but i bought a ScreenGuardz or whatever is called (the special cloth from RadTech), and fixed that
    - now a rather important problem : after a month or so of typing rather frequently, the protector started to bend right beneath the space bar, leaving a huge gap for dust to get inside
It was a great product in the first month, but now, it just refuses to cover the space bar correctly.

Highly recommended.. above any silicone keyboard protector

    • Written by from NORTH HOLLYWOOD

The Moshi ClearGuard is the best keyboard protector I have ever used. I picked up a Marware Keyboard Protector from the Apple Store a few weeks ago, and just couldn't get used to it. The keys felt sticky, accumulated a lot of dust and hair, plus it was real thick and unnatural to type with. My Moshi ClearGuard arrived today in the mail, and the moment I put it on, it almost felt like there was nothing there. It has a very nice and smooth texture, plus it is considerably thinner than the Marware protector. I would strongly recommend the Moshi ClearGuard to anyone who is concerned about keeping their keyboard clean, yet isn't willing to sacrifice comfort and usability.

    Beware of LCD Screen imprinting

    • Written by from Durham

Nice product but avoid closing your clamshell with ANY silicone keyboard cover because the key squares will imprint onto your LCD and leave square marks.

Place it during use BUT remove it when closing your clamshell. The older versions of Aluminum MacBook Pro (pre-UniBody design) flexes inward - especially when jamming your notebook into your computer bag and will press against the keyboard covers making contact with the LCD. Once those imprints are worn into your LCD screen, they are permanently there for your viewing dis-pleasure for the life of your screen.

Side note: will help lessen the damage for you Liquid Spill prone users.

    Good products

    • Written by from Columbia

Could not ask for better protection for my MacBook Pro keyboard area. This really protect the keyboard from the everyday use when the fingers become a little sweaty and oily which leads to other factors of other particles later on becoming stuck to the keypads.

    Doesn't fit

    • Written by from Melbourne

I'd heard good things about this case, but when I actually bought it, I was disappointed. I bought it for my Macbook Pro, and it doesn't fit very well. Every time I type, it lifts up and there is more dirt underneath it now then there was before.

    It doesn't even stay on.

    Ah,,,,It happened!!

    • Written by from Hampton

My son bought a Macbook in October of 2009. I went with him to the Applestore - my first exposure to Apple and Apple People. One week after buying the Macbook - he spilled a cup of coffee into the keyboard. The Macbook was FRIED. Apple gave him a brand new one. He bought this cover. I needn't say more, but I was so impressed by Apple - that I gave up 30 years of PC use and bought an iMac a month later. I'm so impressed by this iMac that I'm buying another one for my wife's birthday.

It's a little squishy when you type, but it is something you can easily get used to. I would recommend it. You can hardly see it, so that is a bonus.

    Moshi

    • Written by from FPO

This product has been great and it has ensured that my MACBOOK PRO's keys still look brand new even after a year of full time collegiate course work use.

    - At first the keys will feel a bit stiff but over time that subsides.

    - Fitment is perfect.

    - It adds protection from minor spills of liquids.

Overall this has been an outstanding product. I highly recommend this product for anyone that wants to protect and preserve their Laptops.

Great product - Irresponsible, too much packaging

    • Written by from Edmonton

Moshi's ClearGuard is a great product. I enjoy using it everyday. It was surprising to discover that such a tiny product was packaged in a huge cardboard box with lots of other packaging material in it. This is irresponsible behaviour towards the environment.
