    The best in the market

    • Written by from Santa Clara

I have tried lots of keyboard covers - trust me I have tried them all. This is the only one that can last more than 5 minutes on my keyboard. Yes, you need to clean it from time to time, but you can't abuse it when you go to clean it. If you run it thru the ringer (e.g. twist it into a ball while cleaning it) you'll discolour the plastic - it's the nature of the material. Other than that, it's practically invisible and almost undetectable under your fingers.

    Good but dirty

    • Written by from Los angeles

It does protects your keyboard from dirt and looks beautiful the first 2 weeks for the back lights BUT once you washed it starts getting gray and ugly i wish it could stay the same way as the first days but at the end my mac-book pro had a bad look and the keyboard like and old computer. it was all gray i threw it away and i got a black one that one looks awesome but the bad things is that you're not able to the back-lights (just a little bit) but it looks better than with the moshi all grayed. i would probably get it again but i would never wash it again maybe just clean it with air compressed or something because the mac looks pretty with the clear keyboard protector.

    This is a must have

    • Written by from Defiance

I bought this because I was sick of the finger prints on the keys that would transfer to the screen when I would close the laptop. It does make the keys feel a little funny but why would you spend $1200 and not protect the keys that if you spill water or something on them would short out the computer.

It is good but it could be better, it makes it harder to press down on the keys but it has saved the the keybord from a soda spill

Great protection once used to it!

    • Written by from Virginia Beach

I have had this protector in place since I received my MacBook Unibody a month ago. It was awkward at first, and took a little getting used to, but now it seems as if it is an integral part of the computer. I tried typing with it off, and the keys are too smooth! I like the feel of this on the keyboard. It is much easier to clean the stickies off this than the actual keyboard after my 8 year old uses the computer without washing his hands. (I know: "MY child would never disrespect the computer like that! Harumph!!" I live in Reality World and my children are not perfect. Sorry!)

Summary: This works, and feels good. Seals off a point of vulnerability on your MacBook or MacBook Pro. Is worth the low price for the insurance it provides.

Not sure if I'm going to keep it on for much longer..

    • Written by from Effort

It is rather thin and fits relatively well over the keys, though I'd have to agree with others that it is stiff and gets cloudy quickly. I cleaned it gently with soap and water and let air dry just as the instructions said, and yet it only intensified. It makes the shiny black keys on my macbook pro very dull and harder to press, so I am frequently tempted to take it off, yet it is a necessity to keep it protected. Not worth the price.

    Pros:
you can barely see it (when it's brand new of course)
protects it from dust and supposedly spills (not going to test that one out)
    thinner than most others

    Cons:
    pricey
cloudy over time and after cleaning
    stiff when typing

    The best so far...

    • Written by from Henderson

I have tried the other competitor product Z---- it was very thick and hard to type with. With Moshi it does not feel like anything is actually on. It is way thinner and you can see the illuminated keyboard underneath.

    Best keyboard protector

    • Written by from Calgary

I spent a week searching and reading reviews of the many different keyboard protectors that are available on the market. I gotta say, Moshi is just amazing. Compared to other products which use silicone, the Moshi is a very very very thin compared to them and its very hard to notice once you put it over your keyboard.

I've had it for about two weeks now and I love it. I got use to typing over the protector within a few hours and now its just natural. I highly recommend it.

    The Ultimate Cover!

    • Written by from Stettler

I bought this protector at the same time that I bought my Macbook. I've now had both for 10 months and I still love the cover. When I remove it, my keyboard looks brand new. The Moshi cover gives my fingers better traction on the keyboard. I tried typing without it recently and my fingers slid on the keys. The cover also dampens the clicking noise of the keys. You can't tell I have the cover on - it is very clear.

I have noticed recently tho that the cover occasionally leaves a few marks on my screen. But nothing a screen cleaning can't eliminate. I still give it 5 stars. I'm too paranoid now to use my Macbook without a cover to protect it from dirt and other stuff falling inside.

    destroys the competition

    • Written by from Mississauga

this is the king of all keyboard covers. i've used the iskin version before and found it rather thick and difficult to type with. This is actually extremely smooth! and it doesnt require excessive pressure on the keys for strokes to register. High grade material no doubt.

    Highly recommended.

Good product, but could be cheaper

    • Written by from Las Vegas

I really like the keyboard protector, I have 2 dogs so it is a must to protect my macbook pro from getting hair underneather the keys, not to mention other foreign particles (i.e. dust, dirt, etc.). But, I do not know that it needs to be $25, it doesn't stick on, you have to make sure to have the keyboard in the right position so it doesn't fall off.

    Overall a good product.

    Moshi has done it!!

    • Written by from Moscow

I just bought this and it is amazing!!! 0.1mm thick and doesn't interfere with what your doing. A friend was using my macbook and didn't even realize it was on until I asked what she thought about the keyboard cover. If your looking for a cover that is not bulky or annoying, get this. I love it and it will keep my keyboard clean from dirt, oils from fingers and anything else.

    Perfect!

    • Written by from Markham

I read a few bad reviews but still opted to buy the product for my MacBook Pro because I knew any day now that I'd spill something on it. I'm so glad I did! It fits perfectly, it's super thin and it really doesn't interfere with typing like the thicker silicone keyboard protectors do. I'd definitely recommend MacBook Pro users to buy this product.

    Much better than marware

This moshi protector is much thinner and clearer than the marware product. Fits snugly, doesn't slip and is almost invisible.

    Very good but not perfect

    • Written by from Singapore

Well, I bought a silicone skin right with my 15' mbp, but after couple of week i found myself really unsatisfied with it. Problem with silicone skins is that when u type they don't let your fingers slide on keys, slowing ur typing way too much.
Moshi skin is from urethane, enabling this essential (well, for me) sliding motion.
It's also very very thin and transparent, as stated.
And yes, as people have reported, I would like it to mold more precisely, sometimes (especially when u use arrow keys) it does slip off a bit, but still it's much better than my silicone skin.
5 stars from me with a little comment about slipping off a bit (really a bit, don't worry, go for it)

    A bit dissapointed

    • Written by from Bucharest

After almost two months of extensive use on my MacBook Pro 13 Unibody (used it mainly for programming during this period) these are the problems I found :
    - grease and dirt will stick to it, and get transfered on the screen when closing the laptop but i bought a ScreenGuardz or whatever is called (the special cloth from RadTech), and fixed that
    - now a rather important problem : after a month or so of typing rather frequently, the protector started to bend right beneath the space bar, leaving a huge gap for dust to get inside
It was a great product in the first month, but now, it just refuses to cover the space bar correctly.

    moves around

    • Written by from Queen Creek

This keyboard cover is very very thin, so you can't really tell it's even there. It feels awesome because it's so thing and it's easy to type. The only downside is it doesn't have a very hard grip on the keys, so the cover does move a lot for me. I ended up returning it and getting the zcover, which is obviously thicker than this one, but it sticks on to the keys just great. Hope this helps! :)

    Very useful

    • Written by from Keller

The cover is very thin as they describe. You can feel a difference in the texture when you type - the keys are hard plastic whereas the cover gives them more of a cushion - but overall it really doesn't change the feel of typing much at all. It fits the keyboard pretty much perfectly, although some of the key "holes" are a little off, so you just have to fold that part over to get the cover to fit smoothly on top. The only real issue would be if you absolutely love matte black color of the keys. The cover is slightly opaque so it turns the keys more grey, but the brighter you have to keyboard back light on, the less noticeable it is. Even without the light, it really doesn't make any difference unless, like I said, you are in love with the black.

    Awesome for accident-prone people

    • Written by from Dallas

I got this within two weeks of getting my new MacBook, and without it, my laptop might be dead a few times over. It fits really well (there is a very very small space above the function keys, 1 mm or less), and I was concerned about it slipping off, but it's stayed on really well. I don't notice it when typing at all, and it has gotten a little cloudy, but I've read from other reviews that you can use iKlear or baby oil to make it clear or shiny again. I wash it with dishsoap and it makes it clean again for a while.

I haven't had a problem with it causing my MacBook to overheat at all, and I haven't noticed any impact on audio quality whatsoever, as some other reviewers have said. Most importantly, it keeps dirt, dust, crumbs, pet hair, liquid spills, and everything else that dares venture near my keyboard from destroying my computer. I can just lift it up and shake it off, or get a paper towel and wipe something off of it, and my beautiful black keys are as shiny and new as when I first bought my MacBook 8 months ago. If you're like me and have clumsy moments here and there, this keyboard protecter is a life saver. Well worth the money.
