    A Clear Choice

    • Written by from Miami

This product does exactly what one would wish it to do and actually improves the keyboard. I am a life long mac user but have always preferred PC keyboards. The Moshi cover gives the keys a bouncy organic feel while providing unobtrusive protection. $25 may seem a bit steep for a thin piece of plastic, but after spending a few thousand dollars on a computer it's senseless not to get it.

    Oh wow...Just unbelievable...

    • Written by from Sunnyvale

I got this about an hour ago, and it is an unbelievably extraordinary product. When I first removed the cover from its mold, I thought it was just a cheaply-made product that couldn't stand up to my fingers or any other debris that would try to get into my keyboard. Boy was I wrong... It is so thin, yet so durable. I just dropped my full pill bottle on it (accidentally of course, and it made a pretty loud sound, but my keyboard was in perfect condition; not even a little nick or scratch. There is absolutely no reduction in key tactility.

I only have one complaint, but it is very minor. When you press the right arrow key really hard and at the same time, really fast, the keyboard cover slips off of the arrow keys.

Other than that con, this product is absolutely perfect. It protects they keyboard from dust, finger oil, and also gives they keyboard a glossy touch, but not too glossy. It is of extremely high quality build, and I recommend that anyone owning a MacBook/MacBook Pro keyboard, wireless keyboard, or wired miniature keyboard from Apple should buy this product along with it. It is an absolute MUST.

    Does its job

    • Written by from Thornhill

This is exactly what I was looking for. I was reading a lot of the reviews before I decided to purchase it. I was turned off by the price at first, but it does what it's supposed to do, which is protect your keys from oily fingers, and allows you to still experience the tactile feel of the keys as if there wasn't a cover on top. I wouldn't say this protects from spills entirely but it's good if you accidentally get a drop on your keyboard. I didn't give it a 5 star rating only because it feels a little loose over the keys overall. When I type the outer edges move a bit.

    All in all, amazing product!

My friend had the zCover for his 17 inch unibody MacBook and it felt horrible. It made typing that much harder. I just purchased the Moshi protector for my 13 and it's never been better! It's extremely thin compared to the zCover protectors by far. Really easy to clean also.

    Better Than Zcover

    • Written by from fountain valley

I've never felt compelled to write a review until now. I returned the Zcover and got this instead. This is so much better. It's a lot thinner, fits well on the keyboard, and doesn't feel like you're typing on the cover. Also, this isn't just for the uni's, it's also for the new white Macbooks. Since it isn't mentioned here but on the Moshi website, I thought I'd write it here.

I really like the keyboard protector, I have 2 dogs so it is a must to protect my macbook pro from getting hair underneather the keys, not to mention other foreign particles (i.e. dust, dirt, etc.). But, I do not know that it needs to be $25, it doesn't stick on, you have to make sure to have the keyboard in the right position so it doesn't fall off.

    Overall a good product.

    Moshi has done it!!

I just bought this and it is amazing!!! 0.1mm thick and doesn't interfere with what your doing. A friend was using my macbook and didn't even realize it was on until I asked what she thought about the keyboard cover. If your looking for a cover that is not bulky or annoying, get this. I love it and it will keep my keyboard clean from dirt, oils from fingers and anything else.

This is the one to buy

    • Written by from Glendale

I have a fairly new white MacBook (purchase in March of 2009). Soon after that, I bought a zCover keyboard cover. It was rubbery and made it hard to type. Hated it. Took it off whenever I had to type anything. eventually threw it away.

Just bought this one -- it's great. Much less rubbery, seems slimmer. I can type with it on. Now it's still not as good as typing without the cover, but almost. A good product, finally.

    Virtually invisible!

This is the third keyboard I've tried (before I tried zCover and Marware) and this is the first one that doesn't impede typing. You can barley tell that you're not typing directly on the keyboard. The other covers I tried made typing a huge chore and caused me to miss letters constantly. I am now done with my search for the right keyboard cover!

I recently noticed my macbook unibody (about 2 weeks old now) getting a lot of grease, dust buildup on the keyboard and the keys itself. I ended up purchasing the iKlear solution to clean my keys up--which I highly recommend, it did wonders for me-and it made my keys look brand new again. And I also purchased this Moshi keyboard protector to prevent further buildup. So far I've used to for 3 days and it is fantastic. You can barely feel the silicone type skin underneath your fingers. And it is specially made for the macbook keys, so it fits well. If you're looking for great protection for your keyboard, but don't want the hassle of bulky silicone covers, definitely get this one. It is 1/5 of the size of regular silicone covers and it does a great job!

This is a great product. I was a little skeptic when reading the reviews about it being thin and not really noticing it, but you REALLY can hardly tell that its there. Unlike other protectors its not thick and squishy, very thin and molded perfectly for the macbook pro. Super happy with this protector! def worthy of the 5 stars

    Worth every penny!!

    • Written by from San Francisco

When i was using pc notebook, there was always something inside my keypad and I did break my 'Q' tried to take the dirt off because it interfered my typing.

So when it comes to Macbook Pro i don't want to repeat the mistake and i was hoping that it will be something to protect my keypad and here it is.

I've been using Moshi ClearGuard for a month or two and really love how it protects my keyboard and not really interfere my typing ability. Eventhough, This product is really thin I can't say that i feel that comfortable typing on the keyboard like when there's no pad. However, it's totally acceptable especially after you wash it you can feel the different; it attaches to your keypad more than when it's new.

I'd recommend this product to any macbook owner who tends to eat and drink while working on the macbook or if you have a pet whethere short hair or long hair it will stuck under your keypad real good. Try it and you'll like it.

I wish I would not have wasted $ on zcover. This is the one!

    • Written by from las vegas

This is a must for all macbook owners. When you type with this cover you don't notice it hardly at all. It actually gives the keyboard a more professional look. You can clearly see the keys through this cover when keys are lite or not.I purchased a zcover only to have turn yellow and slow down my typing.

I tried the Z-cover brand covers, and they were horrible! Thick, sticky, loose, and they attracted dust rather than kept it away. This, however, if much much different. The Moshi covers are thin and solid, making it just as easy to type with it as without. It is very simple to clean. More than anything, though, I love that this cover fits PERFECTLY; and is not even slightly loose anyway, like the Z-cover. For five bucks less, this is five times better. If you are considering a cover, or even if you aren't, BUY THIS PRODUCT! You won't regret it.

    • Written by from San Diego

I've tried other keyboard covers but this is the best by far. Typing with the cover on is almost as enjoyable as typing without one (other covers are so thick that it feels like the keys are glued to the keyboard). The only thing that slightly annoys me is that the cover is so thin that it is very easy for it to slip off, but I'm definitely nitpicking at this point.

I have tried the other competitor product Z---- it was very thick and hard to type with. With Moshi it does not feel like anything is actually on. It is way thinner and you can see the illuminated keyboard underneath.

    Best Keyboard cover

    • Written by from whitesboro

    -practically invisible
    -feels great
-very thing, you won't notice it's on after a while
-provides great protection against spills and dust

-kinda pricey for a piece of plastic but worth every penny, its the only one of its kinds out there right now. Others are made of super thick silicone.

-as it gets dirty, the more opaque it gets. So i decided to clean it with soap and water...BAD IDEA. the opaqueness got worse. So the solution is to rinse it GENTLY with water. DO NOT CRUMPLE IT UP AND SCRUB the wrinkles will be permanent. use a QTIP to clean it instead. And last but not the least go over it with a little bit of baby oil just to get it all clear and shiny again =)

    The BEST keyboard skin ...

    • Written by from SAVANNAH

I don't know how I missed THIS one for so long, but luckily I finally came across this skin and I'm so glad that I did ... it's superb! Unlike it's rivals (all of which I've tried in the past) this one is actually clear and has a GORGEOUS tactile key response (meaning you can actually still type with little to no effort)! The others feel like you are attempting to type through THICK rubber cement ... but this one is SWEET! It's quite clear (almost invisible), it's very thin, and allows for easy depressing of keys!!!!! Pricey, yes it is! Worth the cost?! YES (especially considering the cash that I spent on the other, more cloudy, thick/gross/RUBBER models)!
