I keep my iPad Mini charging when at home. It only works half of the time, and it is less than 2 months old.

I've only had my iPhone 5 for a month (or less) and the charger is not working anymore. The lightning cable is also "broken" already. I tried to connect it to my Mac and other computers and unfortunately my iPhone doesn't charge. :( And obviously the wall doesn't work ._. apple store here I come. >_< I hope they give me a replacement

    Word of Caution

I discovered that to make a phone call, the iphone 5 uses >5W of power. I had my phone plugged into the 5W adapter and was on a phone call and the battery died. For the same price go with the 12W adapter....

if you're not needing to be on a call, and just want to have it charge overnight or something then this is fine, but if you're expecting to be able to use your phone while plugged in (and not use the battery) then the 5W adapter isn't the one you want.

Another excellent but overpriced Apple peripheral

The iPhone is amazing, way better than a BlackBerry or Droid, but when it comes to basic peripherals, think outside the Apple Store. $19 for a power adaptor (that costs less than $1 to manufacture) is ridiculous, even one that produces a strong charge. Go with a reputable manufacturer like PowerGen or Belkin that specializes in chargers and cables. I recently bought a Belkin iPhone power adapter that charges just as fast as Apple's charger. It cost $11. Plus it came with a power cord. And the cord is way thicker and sturdier than the stylish but flimsy cord that Apple makes.
