    Smart Case for iPad a Disappointment

    I love the way it looks, and feels, and the sleep function. But it is too loose on the left and right sides of the case for my taste. I can literally bend the edges off my new iPad 4 with no effort. I wanted front and back protection--which it provides-and it does not feel like its sliding around. It just does not feel secure. Major disappointment!

    I had 3 objectives for a iPad case...
    1. Protects the iPad.
    2. The price.
    3. The product is usable and does what's it marketed for.
    In short, A+++++++

    Feels nice and smooth when holding it. Fits well for the ipad 4th gen and has basically no major flaws, except for the fact that the cover cannot stick to the back when the ipad is in use! Otherwise, it's excellent!

    iPad smart case

    Both my husband and myself just bought smart cases and we love them! No sharp edges to deal with and simple to use. I looked at many cases and tried several and nothing compared to the smart case.
    I wouldn't trade this in for anything!

    The case doesn't fit

    The case doesn't fit and the iPad can easily slip out of the cover.

    unfortunately you have to buy this case sins the magnet inside the iPad looses its magnetism over time, thus making it unable to stand upright with the cover.

    This doesn't change the fact that this cover isn't worthy of the apple logo and would never have made it to the market in the Jobs days.

    The good and not so good

    I returned my case, sharp edges made it uncomfortable to hold. Also a little skeptical about the durability of the hinge point. Otherwise slim and aesthetically pleasing, liked closing the cover and hearing the satisfying click of the pad going to sleep. Although rather pricey, I 'd buy another case if these issues were resolved. Also, although I liked my bright green cover, the apple colors could be a little more sophisticated, not crayon colors.

    I love this case.It makes It easier to hold the iPad.The magnet latch stays shut and puts the iPad to sleep.Great case all around.My next case will be red.

    Terrific!

    I bought this case for my husband for Christmas and there's nothing cheap about it. The iPad fits snugly into the case and if it were cheap, my rough and tough handling man would have torn it to shreds by now. I've seen it happen. If I could, I'd give this product six stars!

    I can't speak to durability yet, just received as a Christmas present, BUT, I am very happy with this product. It fits well, closes completely, and it works as advertised.

    Not intended as a protection device - buy a more rigid cover, simple. They are expensive but well worth your money. Don't be cheap!

    Received my new case today it is ok. The case doesn't fit that great at the sides of ipad by the home button, or the front camera, fairly loose there, but the edges are very secure, so no chance of iPad falling out at all! The edges of the iPad are all protected by the case which is terrific.

    The rubbery material will definitely soil easily. But the engraving adds a nice touch.

    The stand doesn't hold the iPad securely in the position that is used to watch a video. I reckon that this is due to the newness of the case which prevents the magnetic stand from laying flat on the surface of table, with a slight nudge the iPad will surely fall flat on the screen.

    The case is super thin, and quite versatile. The green color is cool. I will see how long it lives up to wear and tear!

    Love this case!

    I got this case for my ipad for christmas. i was a little skeptical at first because of all the bad reviews, but i am very happy with this product! it covers my ipad really well and i love the magnetic front! it is really good for everyday use, and works really well when trying to stand the ipad up! The colors are all really pretty too! I feel this is much more protective then just the one that covers only the front of the screen, i would definitely recommend this one over that one. overall, i love the product and would say if you are questioning it, definitely go with it!

    This iPad case is awesome but i don't like that the cover is hard to lift. You have to lift it up by your nail. Plus apple, please make a apple store in the Saudi Arabian apple.com. at an over view, it is a pretty good case.

    It's a great case, but

    I enjoy the case, but when you set it up for the stand, or any way, you have to have the microfiber side out, should be poly out. I usually just fold it in half to keep the microfiber inside so it doesn't get dirty from my hands.

    As for the fit, it's great. No problem with the camera holes or buttons, feels really secure.

    The price? That's where your other star went, maybe 3.5 for you

    Smart iPad case

    The hard part was choosing the color. I got one the blue for my mom, green for me. I wanted the best to protect our investments. We paid good money for the 4th generation retina display so why not? We love the cases because it protects it from scratches including the back. I stuff mine in my purse and it is safe from key marks or any other contents I may have in there with the iPad. What I like about this full coverage is the slim profile. I though about the Smart Cover but I was worried about the scratching on the back, thought the case would make it too thick. I was pleasantly surprised. Love the case. I highly recommend it if you want full protection, front and back.

    Very disappointing

    I put this on my iPad 4 and was immediately dubious of how well it would work.

    1/ The flap that opens, when folded behind, does not stay put. It flops around. A stronger magnet would be much appreciated. Also, some sort of tab or something to specifically hold on to while trying to open it would be nice.

    2/ The iPad does not feel snug within the case and when I hold it, whichever two sides I'm holding on to pull away from the edge of the iPad, exposing its sides. Though I don't feel it will fall out it is annoying nonetheless.

    3/ When folded into any of the stand configurations it does not have enough support for the iPad and tips over immediately.

    I had high hopes for this product but will be returning it ASAP. It certainly does not live up to the Apple standards.

    Put to the test as soon as we got it home

    Awesome case. I wish the green (a favorite color of both my sons -- and mine, too, since it's supposed to be my iPad!) was a little darker, but it fits my 3rd gen iPad perfectly and works as advertised. The only thing that keeps me from giving it five stars, as others have noted, is that the cover doesn't stick to the back when opened. Many other covers for competitors' tablets figured out attractive solutions. Why hasn't Apple?

    The test though: My 4-year-old son was proudly showing off the cover on the iPad to his 7-year-old brother when he accidentally dropped it. On to my tiled kitchen floor. iPad wasn't touched, screen was saved and all was well. Very good product and well worth the $49.

    For comparison sake, before this, I had also bought the Griffin Survivor and the Otterbox. Both probably protect better but bulked up the iPad too much for my taste.

    Poor Construction

    My I-pad 3 came with this cover and all it did was shut off the device when closed.. Was not strong enough to hold up the I-pad in a reading position . It tore at the first seem in less than 3 months. Would not recommend this product at all. Surprised that apple put its name on this product. They usually have better quality.

    I really do not see one issue with this, I have owned this for not a very long time, however I can clearly tell it s going to last me a very long time. the price is a bit hard to swallow, given at is s $50, but then again most of the other prices range from $40-$80, so this is really on the low end of the price range, and it is from a reliable brand. It is seamless and I absolutely adore it, and it is very easy to clean, Denali recommend it to everyone with an iPad. (P.S. It fits my iPad 4th generation like a glove even though the lightning connector is not the right size for the space.
