    Ipad Smart Cover

    From a company which optimized form and function in its products, this product is an absolute failure. I had been using the cover for my brand new Ipad 3 for a period of 3 weeks, before the magnetic connection of the cover to the Ipad detached, and my Ipad shattered on the stone floor below. I do think the idea for this product had promising beginnings, but its function is deficient - any product which failure can cause destruction of that which it protects is fundamentally flawed. But no one's perfect...they just need to reinvent this cover.

    don't get the leather

    I ordered this and the leather is very poor quality. In fact, it looks kind of dirty. I will return it for the poly cover. Save yourself the trouble and just get the poly cover in the first place.

    It's a work of art, but not for anyone who really uses it other than to show off cuz the magnet strength just isn't enough. I've been v. careful knowing full well how "delicate" this gadget is, but that was not enough to prevent the iPad from causing massive dents in my designer coffee table and lacquered wooden floor when it "slipped out".
    Also, the back is completely bare and laid open for scratching.
    I would definitely not recommend - desirable but so unreliable!

    The cover looks very nice but it's has an incredibly bad funtionality. The magnets aren't strong enough to hold in when you have the ipad open and it gets dirty extremely easy. I am incredibly careful with it and I wasn't able to keep it clean.
    I once read an anecdote about how Steve Jobs got extremely mad when he tried the very first iPhone prototype and he realized that the screen got scatches just by having it on his pocket. He really had in mind the functionality of his products. I can't understand how Apple sells such a bad cover!

    I don't like the fact it only covers the front of the iPad. The iPad is slippry both front and back with out the back cover there's nothing to hold on to when doing reading etc. Also it protects nothing so pretty useless.

    I bought this case because the ipad 2 had just come out and it was a clever and cool case. After a few weeks of having I found a lot of scratches on the front and back of my ipad. This case is very fun and cool, but it will not protect your ipad. My ipad eventually cracked on the front screen and I had to get a new one.

    how can you call this a "cover"????? what a rip off! provides almost no protection AT ALL
