    Can't get any better!

    I bought this product with standard shipping and it arrived in 3 day. My cousin has had this router for 2+ years without any problems and the signal goes all the way to the back of the backyard. I had to switch from a netgear router because it stopped working thank you apple. You're the best!

    Amazing product.

    Easy setup and worth rating. Only had it one day though. So we'll see. But relative to my last one, "link sys", this apple product beats its derriére.

    Also, got an Appple Tv lsat night, amazing investment.

    Best Router Ever!!

    I have had many previous routers from major brand names and none of them compare to this. Better coverage and connection stability to all types of devices. Recommend this to everyone

    Best Router Ever!!

    This has been the best router that I have ever used! I had a Linksys, Netgear, and a Belkin before finally getting the Airport Extreme Base Station! Being a family with three macbooks and one pc, this totally suits our needs as our other routers never stay connected at all! Kudo's to Mac Products! They never die!! XD

    Does not work for Time Machine Back ups

    Don't buy if you're planning to use the external hard for time machine. After trying several times and I started to read some internet pages and found out that is not supported by Apple. Don't make the same mistake I did.

    Set Up: No Good

    I received this in the mail on the proper time.

    When it comes to setting up, I had trouble.
    1. It did not come with the CD that the Setup Guide said ...
    2. I have to find the proper AirPort Utility online in order to setup this properly ...
    Disappointed with the set up process ...

    Easiest on the market

    I Had a netgear 600n router, It worked good I thought. But it finally just stop working. So I bought a apple extreme airport router best decision I ever made. This router is fast on line gaming is awesome. My wife and son both said this is a lot better than the old one. The beat part was it took me 5 min to set up. Love it another great product of apple.

    Lived 2.5 short years

    Sure, this product is great while it works. But at $180 for the 2 and a half years this thing lasted, I almost would have been better off renting from the bloodsuckers at the cable company.

    Solid wireless device

    Although I am a PC user, This device takes the cake in wireless. I don't really use it as a router more of a AP. It would be really nice to have a little more advanced functionality to the device. Not being able to use the guest network when you are bridging brings this product down a star... I think there is room for improvement.

    Made wireless so fast

    I had a wireless router (modem + wireless) that I got from the cable company. The speed was spotty and occasionally disconnected. I had a Roku like device hooked to the modem and was using wireless for iPad and desktop.

    I decided to get a regular modem and add the Airport Extreme. It was SO EASY to install and the wireless is now RELIABLE and FAST. It beats buying from Cisco, Linksys, and the rest, given that the quality of those products is so up-and-down. Apple Airport Extreme was such a no-brainer!

    Product claims don't wash

    Network reliability is only so-so, especially with PC VPN connections, which suffer from frequent drops. The USB drive feature does not work reliably, since the drives frequently will not wake up and are then not accessible over the network. Anyone who thinks this solution is going to give a spot to park reliable backups is in for a disappointment or get used to disconnecting and then reconnecting the drive by hand. 5 GHz range is not as good as the slower wireless G connection, but both are better than the original round Airport Extreme. Not worth $179, that's for sure.

    Don't waste time and money on other Routers!

    I received my Airport Extreme today. It took me less than 15 minutes to get it all set up and everything up and running without issue. 1) Open box 2) disconnect junky Belkin 3) connect Apple product 4) Run Utility 5) admire a company that knows technology and how to please customers.

    Make your life easy. Get this Router. Your time and money are worth more. Don't waste it on pretender companies making pretender products!

    (P.S. - Apple knows how to play nice with other products, but not so much the other way around. Everything runs better on/with their products, even PC-based products)

    Top Class

    Awesome router. Although the price tag is rather high, it is definitely worth it. I had gone through about 3 different routers trying to find one that would lag out while playing my PS3, and someone getting on NetFlix. With this router, there are 2 PS3's, 2 smart TV's, and 3 laptops running with no problems. Definitely worth it!

    What a difference!

    I am changing the house over to Apple! I just installed the AirPort Extreme and the performance and range is outstanding. I switched out a Netgear 2.4gz wireless router for this and it was easy. I had one issue with the DNS entry for the cable modem and getting out on the Internet...thought that should be automatic. .worked w/charter ..everything came up very easy. You don't have to be to technical if setting up with a PC ..I could not wait for my iMac to come and decided to install the AirPort Extreme .ahead of time. iPhones, iPad, Apple TV, iMac, backup, thermostats, home automation....all in process of being setup. The range is also something that is awesome! I'm in the far end of the house...60' ...full bar strength....crazy! I have charter and getting now 22mbs / 3.4mbs up.....very good experience ..can't wait to set the rest up...

    Best Router Ever

    I have delt with Linksys routers before and they have been a pain. having to change IP address and call customer support. Totally the opposite with this device. Its quick, simple, and JUST WORKS. I plugged it up, then setup everything via my iPhone and it has worked and haven't had a single problem. My older Linksys wouldn't support the speed I have (35mb/s) and this base station can do it flawless! Its simply awesome!

    Airport Extremely Satisfied

    Had it up and running within 10 minutes.
    Its connected to the PC in the living room where the cable modem is but i set everything up from my MacBook which I was told was the quickest way to do it. Extremely simple and I even setup the guest network.
    Worth the investment!

    Quick and reliable

    I purchased this to replace a conventional router (with the little ears sticking up). Set up was effortless - particularly in comparison to the old one. Set up utility did all the work! Now I have a secure wifi network for myself, and a secure guest network. All in less than 15 minutes. And my several years old printer is part of the network, too, thanks to the USB port.

    The reach of this network is also very good. I can access my network in the yard, from the front porch, and anywhere else I would ordinarily need to at home. All good.
