This wonderful invention came to my attention while trying to decide which mouse to buy. After reading the reviews of all, I decided to give it a try along with the keyboard with a numeric pad. I love it !!!! This has to help dramatically with over use injuries for those of us who work on computers all day everyday. After many years of using computers I now have problems with my Mouse hand, arm and neck. The track pad seemed to be a logical solution and I am sure, after having used it for a day, that it will be.

It took me a few moments and a little reading to find what was needed to achieve the same things you can with a mouse and I have not looked back. Tapping two relaxed fingers instead of a right click for example. This is a much better hand placement than gripping a mouse and trying to move your middle finger while the hand is in an un-natural position. With the track pad, the hand is relaxed, open and you do not need to rest the wrist on the desk, hindering blood flow.

As with each product Mac, I know I will never look back.

So much more precise than a mouse and it also really compliments the Apple keyboard with numeric keypad available for iMac. Mine works either in front or behind the display for up to several feet; the bluetooth makes for many options. If you're not a savvy user of trackpads (such as with a laptop), it's probably not meant for you to have magic trackpad. Many of the bad reviews on here appear to be written by users who weren't previously trackpad users. If that applies to you, get a wired mouse. If you're like me and love the more technologically-savvy option, get the magic trackpad; it's awesome!

I was so excited when this first came out... and I have to say that I love it.

But what I don't love is the Bluetooth connectivity. I've got a brand new Mac Pro sitting 6 feet away from the Trackpad and it frequently (more often than not) has tracking issues. It will jump all around my screen or just respond slowly. I'm having similar issues with the Bluetooth Magic Mouse.

I don't know what is causing it, but it's making these devices worthless. I wish there was a wired version of both devices as I do like them outside of the fact that they don't work well in my home office. The fact that I have issues with all 3 of my BT devices (keyboard, mouse, trackpad) leads me to believe it's not a hardware issue.

There are some serious issues with Bluetooth so I'm hoping that future devices use a better technology that doesn't have these interference issues.

This is the most awful mouse. I am not looking to work my hands out. It has taken the simplicity out of using a mouse. It should not be that difficult. I know your saying "That's because you don't know how to use it." I do though and it is still a pain and takes entirely to much time up. I'd rather not give any stars at all but I couldn't.

I just put this in front of my computer and started using it. After a day I put the mouse and trackball away. I use logic 9 quite a bit and I find this works well. No issues. As far as battery life, I didn't even realize this thing took a battery! I've had no power issues at all and it's been a couple of months.

I still use a Macbook 2007 so the last model before the multitouch track pads came out. This has been a great addition along with my wireless keyboard and finally gives me versatility on my mac.

Great to use when my Macbook is hooked up to the TV as well, just turn on the tap to click functions in my mouse preferences and then I am good to go. No more sitting just feet from the TV if I need to use the mouse!

This product is awesome. It gives me all the movements that a mouse does and then some, and that with minimal movement of hand. Click and double click are intuitive. What is not intuitive, though, is that you can do page backward and page forward, show desktop, show all the applications running, zoom, rotate and scroll horizontally and vertically, again, with minimal movement of hand.

If there is one thing I would change in this product, it'll be the angle at which it rests. I preferred if the slope was away from me so that palm was higher than finger tips. Nevertheless, I still believe this track pad is the best "mouse" ever invented.

I have a MBP and it's trackpad is absolutely the best. I just set up an HD monitor and did not want to use a mouse - triple hate using a mouse. The Magic Trackpad is the answer I was looking for. It mimics the MBP trackpad exactly, making my transition to a wireless keyboard flawless. No mouse, no fuss.
Reviewers saying it is too sensitive are nuts. If anything, it's a little less sensitive than the MBP pad. It's perfect. Extremely well done, Apple. 10 stars.

I have use the trackpad for the last 3 months and finally switched back to a mouse. It is not the ideal device to control a computer. It does not feel the same as the trackpad on a laptop.

Thank you for creating this trackpad, Apple folks.

It works for me.

Really accurate, easy to use, also my fingers and wrist are pain-free when I use it.

You can do everything you do with mouse, with comfort. It's faster than mouse.
