    ANOYING

    • Written by from Ludlow

This keyboard out of the box was so uneven. Typing long papers is a nightmare. It would rock back and forth with every key typed. I tried bending it to stay even but no luck. Thinking about buying a Logitech its so bad.

In Luv with this new keyboard!

    • Written by from Hamilton

Just picked up the wireless keyboard today and I'm currently using it to type this review. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it's a delight to use. It feels like there's absolutely no lag between the typing and the appearance of the text on the screen. The keys are crisp but sensitive and very responsive. I have an older iMac, running Leopard and it works beautifully. Most of the functions at the top don't work (I'm assuming it's due to my old OS), but I'm pleasantly surprised that some of them do... I was frustrated that I couldn't open my dashboard easily with the Magic Mouse, but when I press the "volume up" button on my new wireless keyboard the dashboard magically appears :-)

All of the main keys (including eject) work beautifully. If you're running OSX10.5.8 and were not sure it'd be wise to pick up one of these keyboards, I can assure you that it will work nicely.

Can't wait to get a Mac Mini! Happy Holidays!

A truely amazing product, its light-weight, easy to set up, easy to use, and allows me to stand my iPad up at my desk and type with it! Thanks again Apple for another wonderful product!

Good keyboard, missing some key buttons

    • Written by from Toledo

Love the look of this keyboard, however there are a few buttons that are missing from it that, coming from a PC, I miss horribly.

These buttons include: Home, End, Delete, (and less frequently) Page Up/Down

Coming from a person that is used to PC's, these are hugely missed. It's much more convenient to be able to delete text backward AND forward, but unless you want to use a combination of keys, you can't do that (which decreases any ergonomics for the keyboard itself)

It's exceptionally compact, which I do like quite a bit. They did scrimp and save a bit on the paint job, though, as it took a tumble off my couch and hit the trim on my wall and scraped the cheap silver paint clean off. It's an esthetic issue, honestly, but still an issue none-the-less.

The battery on this thing is amazing. I've had it since September and use it nearly on a daily basis (though, admittedly, this Mac is connected to the TV, so it's not used AS much as the mouse). This being said the battery is at 75% and I've never had to change batteries yet. It's just nice not having to have a keyboard that needs charging every month.

Back to a bit of bad - the ergonomics are just not there. There's only one position that the keyboard can be placed as there is not levers or height increase flaps. It's not a huge thing as I type on my lap, but if I were doing things professionally, this could be of concern to me.

Like I said before this is connected to a TV, and so I don't do a bunch of this anyways, however you should be aware that they decided to get rid of the number pad to save space / make more compact. I don't miss it, but if you wanted this option then this would not be the keyboard for you. IIRC you *can* buy a num pad by itself, but that would need different batteries, and unless you're doing accounting, you're not going to need it.

Not working after 1 year of use

    • Written by

This keyboard came standard with my iMac that I purchased in October of 2010. Up until about 3 months ago I thought it worked well despite the fact that the caps lock key would stick randomly (I didn't even need to use it for it "lock" itself) and the caps lock light would turn on or off on it's own and didn't necessarily reflect the use of the key. It's a small keyboard but I have small hands so I got used to it and I'm sure the the cost of the AA batteries it drains has more than paid for the keyboard. NOW the thing has decided to start disconnecting at it's leisure, generally after locking a key I'm using and typing that letter or # about 1000 times. This will happen once or twice during use or even as often as 14 times (yes, I counted), at which point I gave up and walked away. It does this with new batteries and old. My wireless mouse was also randomly disconnecting so now I'm using an old wired mouse but I'm still trying to stick it out with this keyboard. It's disconnected once while typing this review. If you have this keyboard b/c it came with a purchase, great. Use it while you can. If you're looking to buy it as an accessory I wouldn't recommend it.

Nearly Useless. This Was a Terrible Buy.

    • Written by from Chicago

When it actually works, it's great, but the connection drops every few minutes, and has since I purchased it a couple of weeks ago. I'll spend ten or fifteen seconds at a time waiting for the keyboard to reconnect so I can retype my sentences. Worse are the stuck kkkkkkkkkeys, but this morning, that stuck key was "delete," which was... utterly infuriating. So, here I am. The batteries are brand new; the keyboard is 18" or so from the computer; the keyboard is paired and is a "favorite;" the only other BT device is my flawlessly working Magic Trackpad; I have the latest firmware on an iMac running 10.6.8. It's brand new. Yet, I can't work with this thing without a constant stream of interruptions. I hate this keyboard, and would be remiss not to say so here.

    Doesn't work!

    • Written by from Palo Alto

I just bought this wireless keyboard and it literally does't work. I've tried connecting it with 3 apple computers already and none of them could even detect the keyboard. I have also tried changing the batteries multiple times! I was looking forward to using this nice 70 dollar keyboard but too bad I doesn't work.

    Surprising!

    • Written by from Monument

This keyboard is of great quality, i've never used a wireless keyboard before and this keyboard is very exceptional. It works great when i play online games (like SCII: which require lots of quick key combinations) i never feel any lag between what i press and what happens.
Any other wireless keyboard i use is going to have a lot to match up to.

Lastly, i was having an issue when i pressed the space bar and when i let go the space kept going. As i panicked, the keyboard "lost connection" and then "connected" again. I was so surprised it had its own failsafe that i stopped what i was doing to write this review and share how awesome the keyboard is.

    Amazing.

    Best Keyboard

This is definitely the best keyboard I have ever had, I am paring it with my Macbook Air and iPad. The keyboard feel even better than my MBA's keyboard.

    Wish it was full sized

    • Written by from Highlands Ranch

I would love to say I love this keyboard, but I can't. I generally make a lot of use of both the numeric keypad and the arrow keys. This keyboard has no numeric keypad and the directional arrows are very truncated. I wish Apple would offer a full size wireless keyboard as an alternative. Heck, even allow it to have additional battery capacity due to it's longer length, and I think they would have a winner.

I understand the compact size works well for many. All I am saying is that choice is good, and I wish there was a choice of full size for those who need it and would still like wireless.

Cool keyboard, loses connection too easily

    • Written by from New York

The design, size, the feel of each key press is very good. One major problem that forced me to go back to the wired keyboard was that it would lose connection and then reconnect after a few seconds, at least a few times a day, and it was too much distraction.

PLEASE MAKE A FULL SIZE WIRELESS KEYBOARD!

    • Written by from Port Richey

Although this tiny model is a very nice keyboard, I REALLY miss the full size version with the numeric keypad. Please offer a full size wireless keyboard. I am tied to a corded model as I use my numeric keypad often. Also, please consider repositioning the up/down, left/right arrow keys. Have the up and down together, then the left/right together. The way they are spaced now with the down key located in the middle of the left/right is very annoying. You have to skip over the down key when you are using only your left & right. Looking forward to seeing a full size wireless keyboard. Thanks in advance.

With the numeric keypad back, I would give it 5 stars.

    Awesome!

    • Written by from Missouri City

This is the only kind of keyboard that actually increased my typing speed instead of decreasing it. There's no need to adjust or make any modifications. The battery life is great and I am getting spoiled by this! Using it on my iPad 2 is awesome and I no longer have to get used to typing on the touch screen or having the on-screen keyboard blocking my view! The only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 is because that I actually have to use batteries. It doesn't come with a recharger and I hope that in the future, apple will make a rechargeable one that easily recharges from a wall outlet or by usb.

    Keyboard

    • Written by from North Las Vegas

I do like the keyboard. The main reason I got it is for school and to use it on my iPad, but I never really use it. I never bought any word or pages for my iPad, I do all of my reports on my computer, so it is useless almost to me. But I believe that it is a great keyboard.

    Great accessorry for an iPad

    • Written by from Manhasset

I just purchased this in order to use it with my iPad, rather than having to clunk around on the ipad keyboard. So far, I really love this product. It's lightweight and the keystrokes respond nicely to my typing, infinitely better than having to email using the iPad keyboard. I bought the incase origami stand to go with it and the two work really well together. Now I can leave my laptop at home when I don't need to use excel, word or flash, which I'm verry happy about.

It takes some time getting used to it

    • Written by from Arlington

At first, I really liked this keyboard. It worked well with my iMAC. That is, until I tried speed typing on it. Talk about a disaster! I thought about things to include the "old" keyboard I'd learned on (the one with all the wire coming out of it), and I realized the problem: This keyboard takes some getting used to. In just 2-months, I was speed typing again and much faster than I did on the old keyboard.

However, I have to be brutal here this is not a keyboard for someone who needs a 10-character numeric keypad (unless you're really gifted and can use the numeric row of this keyboard effectively). So, instead of berating this keyboard, I suggest to all the numeric keypad users, put this aside (you can use it with your iPAD) and purchase an Apple wired keyboard, as it a numeric keypad. And, if you still don't want the keyboard, contact me...I can use a spare!

It works, but not as comfortable as full size

    • Written by from new rochelle

I got this wireless keyboard with my Imac. A friend bought an Imac a year earlier, and that one came with the extended (cabled) keyboard. The extended keyboard has dedicated numeric pad and seems somewhat wider and easier to type on. I've gotten used to the wireless version, but it doesn't seem as comfortable as a full keyboard. Also, the key 'throw' is short like all apple keyboards and that takes some getting used to. Overall it's ok. Battery life is very good. Perhaps six months or so. As for set-up, synching, etc., no worries there, either.
