    great buy!

    This is a great buy, and the Belkin DVI to HDMI cord at $19.99 is UNBEATABLE!! Looks great on my HDTV, love high-res images and videos at 40". One thing, probably user error is no audio through the TV... ??

    Works with my Samsung 22" 226BW

    This dongle works with Samsung products. When connecting, sometimes the screen would display noise(which looks like noise from TV on the wrong channel), but it clears up after 20 secs or so and it starts working perfectly. I haven't had any issues, but I sort of wished that the connector would indicate the right side up, a couple times I tried to plug it in upside down.

    Anyway, great product, but a little on the pricey side.

    Some of you that have issues, you might want to get a better DVI cable as it my be interference due to poor signal that's not allowing your display to connect.

    doesn't fit

    This Mini DisplayPort doesn't fit into the DVI adapter. There are 4 pins around the flatter pin on the DVI adapter that don't have a hole to go into and so it's just no possible for it to fit in. I am very disappointed.

    Worthless for larger hi-res displays

    My old MacBook Pro worked perfectly with my Dell 30 inch display. This new MacBook Pro with this Adapter will not bring up higher than 1280 x 800.

    Why Apple is going backward is a mystery to me. Applecare says it can't find any way to select the NVIDIA 9600 using this adapter. WHAT??? The same people that developed the iPhone can't figure it out? Unbelievable.

    The supposed fix is buying the Dual DVI Adapter at $99. Can I get my old MacBook Pro back???

    I bought both this and the dual DVI adapter and this one does not work well with my iogear KVM switch and 23 inch cinema display, whereas the $99 dual adapter works perfectly. The problem is horizontal red and green lines - red in the dark parts of the image and green in the white.

    Works just fine. Setup was a breeze. Plug and play no drivers necessary.

    I bought the 2.13Ghz MBA and connected a 20" LG flat panel monitor. It works quite well and almost always without hesitation. If you mirror the displays and try to do something like watch movie via itunes, it will flicker occassionally. If you have it in extended desktop mode, it works just fine. It's a slight compromise for having the itty bitty MBA.

    Does what it's supposed to do now for over a year, no problem. I use it with a samsung SyncMaster 2232BW with no issue.

    I have an ACER 24inch monitor (1920x1200) since 3 years, that works flawlessly in VGA and DVI with my PC (GeForce 8800, Radeon 4670, GeFcorce GTX 260) as well as with my old Mac
    - PowerBook 15" HD (DVI no adapter)
    - iMac 17inch Core2 Duo "education"
    - MacBook Black Core2 Duo
    - MacBook Pro 15inch 2008
    - MacBook Air original (mini-dvi to DVI adapter)
    but, it was just impossible to make it work with a MacBook Air 13" 2010,m with mini-displayport to DisplayPort adapter. NEVER!
    It just continue to work well with my other computers (PC, MacBook Pro 17inch, PowerBook G4!)

    It's just a terrible product!

    Doesn't quite make it with dell 30

    Resolution options peak at 1200x800 with mirrored option and 1680x1050 without mirrored option. Pulldowns do not show anything greater than that at each setting. The adapter is 30$ locally with 15% restocking fee. The more pricey adapter with the VGA and DV connectors has a restocking fee of $16. Although I could eat that if it doesn't work, I am not that hungry to have it.

    Works Fine

    Prior to purchasing my i7 15' MBP I realized that was going to need this adaptor. It took 30 seconds to connect to my Apple Display and it has worked fine. It's somewhat of a pain to have to purchase two adaptors (firewire and dvi) but I'm over it.

    Incompatible With Cintiq

    This adapter is not compatible with the Cintiq. I didn't bother reading the other reviews before purchasing it.

    It gets 2 starts because it looks really neat.

    Second Display with not turn on

    Sometimes when the display that is connected to the Mini DisplayPort to DVI is connected nothing will be displayed. Most of the time this happens when the machine comes out of sleep mode. Unplugging and replugging does not work either. I have rebooted the machine and nothing seems to work. The screen will flicker when the second monitor is connected so it see it but no signal is sent to the monitor.

    Works just like it should

    I have this hooked up to my new macbook and a Samsung T240HD - works great!! I was utterly confused about this product looking at it and my DVI cord. This adapter shows a slash and then 24 squares with no gap inbetween. IT WILL WORK IF THERE IS A GAP on your cable. And if you don't know the difference between DVI cables - look it up, it's not hard. If you have one slash on your port it will work, if you have two it will not work.

    TERRIBLE PRODUCT

    I bought one of these to connect my external monitor to my new Macbook Air. Got a blank screen on the external monitor, and the macbook did not recognize it at all. Confirmed that it was not working on my friends macbook. The one he bought elsewhere for $5 is still going strong after 6 months. This item is of very low build quality and the screws will not bolt into most standard DVI leads either.

    Be Warned - May Render Your Computer Unusable

    I ordered this adapter excited at the prospect of using two monitors for my work, putting my graphics software on one screen and my email etc on the other.

    Upon connecting the second monitor, my mouse no longer tracked smoothly. Every second or so it would jump, sometimes only an inch, sometimes clear across the screen. My computer is basically unusable when the second monitor is connected. This is a widespread problem I've found, with no solution except to use the VGA adapter instead. (It's on the apple support forums too.)

    I urge you, if you are interested in using two monitors, stick to the VGA!
