    Absolutely not worth the price.

This item is of ludicrously cheap build quality. It is flimsy, poorly manufactured, and a terrible failure for an otherwise fine company. I actually can't believe the other reviews. They are far too generous and understanding. I RMA'd mine literally the same day that I received it.

Upon unboxing, both of the sticks wobbled noticeably. There was a considerable zone of zero responsiveness wherein both sticks would rattle back and forth if the controller were lightly shaken. Both of the shoulder buttons (L2 and R2) were mushy and unresponsive. Upon depressing either, after an audible click and actuation of the mechanism, neither button would respond. Both needed significant manual pressure past the point of actuation before they would perform the programmed action. In most games, this is shooting, acceleration, or an otherwise utterly important function.

The controls, otherwise, work. That is expected. Nothing to write home about, and not worth anything if several of the buttons DON'T work properly.

The only upside to this item is its portability. It is very compact, and even comes with a protective plastic casing that snaps onto the front of the pad to protect it, or the rear of it to serve as a makeshift grip. The plastic casing, however, as others have noted, is useless. It does not sit in place, despite the obvious clip on either side of it and on the controller. In fact, it moves during use, very slightly, and does not securely fasten to either side of the pad. One user recommended using a rubber band to keep the cover on.

    Really?

Who in their right mind would design this and sell it for $80? This item is of questionable value at less than half of that price.

You are not paying for a quality item. You are paying for Apple endorsement. It is preposterous.

I would pay $80 for an extremely well-crafted (read: metal & dense plastic, mechanical keys with responsive actuators, no frills, lights, or other gimmicks) controller.

    THIS IS NOT THAT CONTROLLER.

Returned it Because of the Cover

    • Written by from San Francisco

For $80 I expect perfection, the cover does not stay on, either on the top or the bottom. If they couldn't get the cover to work properly they should have not included it. This left a very bad impression with what would otherwise have been a good product, although the build quality over all could be better...either that or charge a lot less, like $30, and I could have forgiven it. Also, keep in mind that it does not work with anything older than a iPhone 5. If I could have gotten beyond the cover and cost you would have found a fairly responsive and well layed out controller.

    Joystick is NOT 360 degrees

    • Written by from Walnut creek

Although it looks like it has dual joysticks, the left one (which is used for moving a character in a game I'm developing) is not 360 degrees. Instead it seems to have maybe 36 positions. Rather than a smooth rotation, it gives a jerky rotation, which looks terrible in the game and makes it difficult to move about properly.

The Moga joystick works fine, but of course is only usable on the iPhone 5. XBox controllers, while playing the same game on the computer, work fine as well.

I've submitted a support ticket just in case this is an issue only with this particular gamepad, but I'm guessing it's a design flaw. Not worth $80 if it's not as good as a $35 gamepad for consoles.

    so so !!!

I bought this controller last week and I was excited finally I can use my iPad as a console, but that was not the case.
the controller is poorly built for the price offered, a ps4 or an xbox one controller's quality is far better than this controller.
surprisingly the size of it was not a problem for me and I have big hands, its responsive and cool to use, but my biggest problem with it was the limited number of games you can play using it, I was exited cause finally I can play Final Fantasy Tactics and The world ends with you using this controller but it was not the case cause it does not support them which was a big disappointment for me, in the end I returned it cause I have no use for it as I mentioned before it does not support the games I have.
