    Good while they last

    • Written by from McMinnville

My girlfriend purchased these headphones for me little over a year ago I loved them , beautiful sound heavy bass but about 6 months into owning these they would not produce sound unless the wire would wiggle around and now they don't work at all. They were never mistreated in any way. I DO NOT recommend these to anyone.

Good earbuds ..... While they last

    • Written by from Sydney

I bought my ur-beats in April of 2013 not knowing about the problem of the left earbud.
They were good while they lasted excellent sound quality bass ect until sure enough the left side started playing up end eventually cut out altogether for no reason.
Are they worth over 100??... Probably not for something that only lasts for a year and 3 months.

    Not worth $100 at all

    • Written by from Feeding hills

I bought my first pair march 10th 2014, on June 18 the left earbud would not work. After contacting beats via email they sent me a survey and did not even help me. I had to go on TWITTER to get help, they never tweeted me back. After calling I'm forced to pay shipping and wait 3/4 weeks to get a new pair. The sound is great, nice snug fit, and good craftsmen ship. I hope that sense apple has acquired beats they will have a better costumer support system and they will make the earbuds last more then a month. The apple I know would not stand for such problems with there products.

On my first pair of urbeats, the left earbud quit working and the same thing happened to my 2nd pair that i pretty much just bought and i take good care of them. They only last about 4 months and it isn't worth 100 bucks. Honestly I would just buy headphones.

    Not worth the $100!

    • Written by from Bryant

I bought my earbuds this past December. Now it's only the beginning of June and they're completely useless to me. About a week ago the left earbud went out completely. I fiddled around with it some and nothing. So I was left with having to listen to my music with only one earbud in, which totally defeats the purpose of having earbuds in the first place. But now, both earbuds are out. So not only am I left to using apple earbuds, but I've also wasted $100 on a product advertised to be able to "take a beating". In the short time that I did have them, I loved them. The sound was great and I really enjoyed having them. But a pair of $100 earbuds should last longer than 6 months.

    Same problem every time

    • Written by from hamilton

So my third pair of urbeats just broke. I got these for my birthday 11 months ago and have gone through three pairs. Don't get me wrong they provide great sound for the rap music I listen to but don't last long at all. The average life for these is 3 and half months, which is insane. Not to mention the same problem happens every single time. The left ear bud just stops working after a couple of months, for no reason. I take great care of these $100 headphones so they don't break and they still do.

    Left side isn't working.

    • Written by from Grande Prairie

I bought these at Best Buy in late October and they sounded amazing that is until today when the left earbud decided to completely stop working. I tried to fiddle around with it to see if it was just the way that they were sitting in the headphone jack but nope, the left side just doesn't work any more! It's only been 8 months since I've had these. I'm going back to my Apple EarPods. "Made to take a beating" now that's a sick joke indeed.

Terrible product, decent sound, horrible craftsmanship

    • Written by from Toronto

So I was given a pair of these for my birthday six months ago and I LOVED them. They had good sound, were relatively comfortable, and worked great with my iPhone. Until today.

Six months into my ownership the right speaker has lost sound, and it's not covered by warranty because it's "normal wear and tear".

I'll be setting these on fire this weekend at a barbecue and buying a different company that isn't marketed based on the owners reputation.

DO NOT BUY! Not worth the money!

    • Written by from Dublin

Had them for just under 4 months. I take extra care with them because they were so expensive but they have started just fading in and out. The in control works occassionally. Went back to beats and they only have a "1 Year" warranty if they are purchased at a "beats approved vendor" and you have to have a receipt! So guess what! I am screwed! No receipt!

Sound quality is great, break easily after 2 months

    • Written by from Frankford

In the past 4 months i have gone through 2 pairs. Currently i am waiting for my third replacement pair to arrive.
Each pair has the same problem, after about 2 months, one ear bud will break, leave you with half volume and no bass while the other continues to work fine. Beats however keeps sending me free replacement pairs with the exception of paying for shipping the broken pair to them.
Sound quality is great, break easily after 2 months, not as durable as advertised.

    Urbeats- any good

    • Written by from Bingley

So the urbeats have a fantastic design that consist if metal specifically iron, the look Is great and the cable is tangle free, the redness of the cable is vibrant and the remote is great for the control of volume, tracks ,taking calls and Siri. However the remote feels cheap and loose also the cable feels delicate it isn't but it feels that way, for £80 you can't go wrong so far, beats include alot of ear buds for the perfect fit which is vital for a good listening experience, also great packaging and they include a 1 year warranty , those are all great things but now its time to discuss the sound. No lie I love these I found the perfect fit I used all the ear buds and all combinations I also found a great equaliser so the highs are great yet in fatiguing, the bass is on point and thumpy slightly exaggerated but not muddy. Vocals sound great very clear but sometimes they sound hollow which for country listeners may be a problem, the mids are ok they're defined and noticeable but not enough. For me and my genre (hip hop, rap) beats are perfect these urbeats are portable and sound great they have a big sound unlike most earbuds for such a small size. Even the case is awesome, taking calls is an easy experience and clear not amazing but clear , I'm 17 and I recommend these thank you

I live these earphones these sound fantastic I think I will be using these instead of my earpods a lot of reviews I've seen claim they break quickly
And they probably never even bought the earphones if I take care of these earphones they would probably last me at least 2 years!!!

    Terrible

    • Written by from Wilmette

The sound quality is sub-par, my default HTC one headphones sounded better, and they don't stay in your ear at all. Every one of the plastic heads would fall out, even if I was standing still they would fall out. They also broke within 3 weeks, the left earbud is now completely muted. Don't waste your money, buy from someone who knows how to make headphones.

    Don’t waste your money.

    • Written by from Overland park

The sound quality is just OK, but the ear pieces don't stay in place and fall out of my ear. Within a month of use I could see the cables cracking next to the earbuds and jack. I have them for 2 month now and my right earphone is almost detached.

    Please listen!!!!

    • Written by from Newmarket

I bought these earphones thinking they'd give great sound for the price. I was so wrong, the sound quality is mediocre. After about 3 months the in line controls stopped working completely. I also found the earphones would glitch out at times. So please, don't make the same mistake a lot of us have, do not buy. You will be disappointed.

I really liked these earphones at first, the sound quality is inarguably good, however it took 2 months for the right earphone wire to detach rendering them useless. 'made to take a beating', they really can't.

    Aggravating

    • Written by from Manorville

Every pair of ear buds I've owned have only lasted for about 6 months and then one bud would just stop working. I got my beats earbuds for Christmas and I loved the sound and everything but a few days ago I noticed the left earbud was lower than the right and now the sound just completely stopped. Since Dr. Dre makes more money making these stupid headphones than he does making music he should do a better job. Definitely not worth $100.

    Broken!

    • Written by from Edmonton

Had them for less than 2 months and the cord disconnected from the inline mic... Before they broke i loved them. if you're wearing like sweat pants that generate static, the static will shoot up the cord and shock your ear (it hurts, and it will probably scare you).

    Great Sound, poor integrity

    • Written by from Indianapolis

So, I bought them thinking that it would be the best sound for the cheapest amount of money (beats wise). I was not wrong. I LOVE the sound, and it was $100. My first pair worked great for the first two months or so, when the left ear inexplicably lost it's volume intensity! The right ear overpowered the left by a long shot! So luckily my plan with the company I bought them from allowed me to get a new free pair in exchange. Now, 4 months later, I sit typing this warning you that the left ear will cut out again! It lost it's sound in one day, when literally all I was doing was listening to music and doing homework! DO NOT BUY unless beats says that they fixed the problem. I think that these reflect very poorly on the beats company, and I am disappointed in them.
