ipad constantly falls out of the keyboard

    • Written by from Laytonville

I loved this at first but my ipad always falls out of the keyboard. I am sure I will end up damaging my ipad. I tried to contact logitech to tell them about this issue and they would not return my messages. This is ALMOST a perfect design if they could solve this issue but for $100, they should make a product that works better.

    Overall very pleased

    • Written by from Watertown

I bought this keyboard yesterday along with the iPad Air. Ive owned a iPad 2 for last 3 years. This is my 1st wireless keyboard and very happy with it. But what I noticed it does not allow for auto caps and auto correct. After doing some reaserch i discovered that this problem is normal with all wireless keyboards and Apple iPads or any tablet. Being use to this feature it was at first bothersome but getting use to the fact that I now have to use the shift key and really getting use to spelling words correctly, that is, watch what letters im typing. Other than this small problem I am overall very happy. The keyboard has many great functions!! And love how I can fold it down to make the iPad look like a laptop. Connects using magnets and aliegns it perfectly.

I recently purchased this product earlier today and so far I have no complaints.
Its very thin and light-weight, easy to handle and really cool when closed on my iPad.
As a collage student, I think a tablet is the best preference for on campus use. Having a Logitec keyboard makes it that much easier to have all my assignments done on time and organized.

As one should assume, I wrote this review with my new keyboard. thank Apple and the creators of Logitec.

    sadly lacking

I love the idea of this and for the maybe 2 weeks that it worked it was great. however it stopped working very soon after buying it and logitech customer service have been treating me like a criminal. Im basically giving up on attempting to get this replaced as logitech are just making it way too hard, and I strongly urge anyone considering buying this product if they can afford to throw 100USD away. if you can, then by all means roll the dice... maybe youll get lucky and get one of the units that doesnt become dysfunctional almost immediately.

    Great product

    • Written by from Oakville

I am very happy with this accessory. It snaps on magnetically, and perfectly. Nicely made. Keys feel great, and are easy to type on even though the keyboard is smaller than a typical computer keyboard. I bought the white keyboard, since my iPad is white - it''s a perfect match, especially with the stainless backing too. The iPad rests in a groove in the keyboard, but it feels quite secure actually, and 2 together are quite well balanced, even when you're using your knees as a desk. Great product overall. Very nicely made. The whole thing looks like a mini computer now.

Unleashes the full potential of the iPad

    • Written by from Oro-Station

great device. insane battery life. i am a university student and i charged it last 4 months ago.
the stand is great, set at a good angel and does not fall out if in the right way. could not imagine a way for this to be crafted better. the outside is hard aluminum which matches the ipad. my only complaint is that, as you will notice with the writing of this review, is that there is clearly no autocorrect when i use the device. i do no think this could be logitech's fault, but rather apple's software. i would absolutely tell you to get this if you are looking for a real keyboard for your ipad. my dad also has been using one for about a year now at least and he loves it as well. answers a staggering amount of emails every day on it and has no complaints. worth the money. more durable than my ipad.

Best keyboard and stand for iPad 1-4

    • Written by from New York

I have used this keyboard for 6 months. It does triple duty as a cover for the iPad, a stand, and keyboard. It is just a bit heavier than the Apple iPad smart cover and has a magnetic clasp on the side that shuts the iPad down and protects it when in place. The keyboard has well designed with good touch and travel, remarkable battery longevity (months on one charge with a microUSB), and all the important keys. The iPad fits horizontally (and vertically) at a slot in the keyboard, holding it just the right angle. There is an on-off switch for the bluetooth. If you are not using, it goes to sleep. There is a button that interrupts the blue tooth so that you can switch to different devices. Pressing any of the keys will turn on the iPad, iPhone, or Mac that is connected to it. Typing in the passcode will get you in without having to touch the screen. The arrow keys work the way they should. The fn keys include ones for search, changing the country for the keyboard (e.g. if you want to type in Chinese), cut/copy/paste, sound volume, and of course all the standard Apple commands keys. There is a small light that blinks (green) when the keyboard is being charged, is finished charging (solid green), or flashes blue when it is waiting for a bluetooth connection. It will fit all the ipads from 1 through 4. It is tough.

    Weak Magnet

    • Written by from Norwalk

This keyboard works well but the magnet is too weak. The cover constantly slides off the iPad when any sliding force is placed on it. I've also had it come apart when sliding it into a snug bag space.

I bought this keyboard for my iPad3 when first available and immediately appreciated how well it worked. Over a year later I'm still using it and still appreciating it. Long battery life, light weight ... like the iPad, it just works as expected, over and over.

    Power off sometimes doesn't

    • Written by from Philadelphia

I like this keyboard in the sense of how it works as a stand and in typing. Recently, I've noticed how the iPad is still powered on when closed. I was wondering why its battery was not lasting as long as it used to. I found this to be an occasional thing, but annoying nevertheless.

I hope this is only unique to the one I have. I've had it now for a few months so I don't know for sure if it always did this or only started to.

great keyboard, but poses a danger to the ipad!

    • Written by from oakland

I'm on my second logitech keyboard, after the first was stolen along with my first iPad a few months back. I do a lot of my work on the iPad, and have found this keyboard indispensable to note-taking, along with AudioNote, which I use for interviews as a part of my job several times a week. However, the stand feature of the keyboard has worn out after only a few months of use, now twice in a row, meaning that i can put it in the groove, and it will stay standing... until it falls over. I thought the original time was a fluke, but now it's happened a second time. My iPad hasn't been damaged by this--yet. But it can't be good for it to be falling all the time, and so I can no longer trust the keyboard. What this means is that I'm now going to start carrying around the keyboard , while keeping the iPad in an actual case that will actually protect it. This defeats the purpose. It would be one thing if this happened after a year or two, but I've had this product three or four months... and it's not cheap.

Good but Bad at the same time

    • Written by from Rocky Mount

This keyboard is so very convenient and easy! But, the "groove" that the ipad sits in is entirely too shallow. The ipad flips right out of it. Believe me, it has caused me to have to ship the ipad back for replacement, after it hit the floor. Modifications are needed to make the a wonderful accessory!

    Surprisingly useful and attractive

    • Written by from Los Angeles

I purchased this keyboard cover when I purchased my refurbished iPad2 over 18 months ago to replace my first iPad with the the Zaggmate Keyboard Case. The keyboard has enough charge to use to create documents on the iPad on a 9 hour flight to Tokyo, and makes it easier to take notes during conferences. Unlike the Zaggmate case, there are no walls that make typing awkward, however, this cover is not as secure as that case. I invested in a full cushioned case that protects the whole kit.

I have not experienced any problems with a weak magnet, nor found that the iPad is unstable in the in the keyboard.

Best of all, the two together looks sleek. People still comment on the look and ease of use. Would happily recommend and purchase again.

    Something you should know

    • Written by from HOMER GLEN

Basically this is a great keyboard, I am glad I bought it. One exception is the auto capitalization and correct do not work. I emailed Logitech support the suggestions they gave me to correct this problem did not solve it. So I did an internet search and found a string pertaining to auto cap & correct not working. According to the Logitech support person responding in the string they said the problem is because Apple will not allow the auto functions to work. Something in their system. I tried the keyboard on my iPad and iPhone the auto functions do not work. I am still going to use this keyboard because it fulfills my needs but I am very disappointed. I gave this a 3 star because of the Apple system failure the keyboard is a 5. Bummer.

    Love. It.

    • Written by from Richmond

I hate the on screen keyboard. I do a LOT of typing, and that just wasn't cutting it. This keyboard turns my iPad into a mini laptop. And it protects my iPad face when not in use. Logitech hit a home run with this one. My only slight complaint is that the silver on the back is starting to wear away, but that doesn't affect usability and I use this puppy 8-10 hours a day.

    iPad falls out of groove

    • Written by from Daufuskie Island

I love the idea of this keyboard, and find it 1000 times easier to type on that the iPad's virtual keyboard. But the adhesive strip came out almost immediately, and the iPad regularly drops out of the groove, falling back on the table or countertop I'm using. This is especially a problem when I have the iPad in a vertical position. In fact, my screen how has a long crack, and I'm sure it's from the tipping over. Isn't there something better out there??
