    love it

    • Written by from Dallas

This 3-in-1 product (keyboard, cover, stand) works beautifully. It is superthin and allows the ipad to still fit into cases made soley for ipad (cases that generally don't allow for a cover). The keyboard is perfectly designed, very responsive and doesn't feel compact, even though it is. As a stand, the angle is perfect for viewing, reading. composing, etc. This is exactly what I was looking for and after a month of use, I love it even more.

    Great, convenient keyboard

    • Written by from Mississauga

I purchased this keyboard case so that I could avoid taking my laptop on quick trips and ensure I travel light. The Logitech keyboard fulfills that need easily and elegantly. Pairs with no issues, keyboard performance is solid - though as it is obviously not a full size keyboard, it will take a little time to get used to the smaller form factor. It is also great to have a 'home' button right on the keyboard.

The case itself offers protection for the screen when closed but note that the case does not latch closed. If handling your iPad, the cover will swing open. With frequent use, the grooves that hold your iPad in place during use do seem to have material applied via an adhesive that will pry loose with time. However, it can be easily re-glued. Otherwise, this is the best keyboard solution I've found for the iPad.

    Greatest Keyboard around

    • Written by from Albertville

I have had this keyboard for about 5 months now and I absolutely love it. My iPad stays in place without a problem. I have a jack russell who jumps all over me and it never has fallen out of the magnetic track while I am using it. The battery lasts forever. I have only had to charge mine 3 times in 5 months and I am on this iPad almost every evening. It magnetically attaches to closing clip with no effort at all and closes very snug. I never had used any other keyboard other than this one and I never will. Great Quality and worth every penny I paid for it. I would tell anyone looking for a high quality keyboard to go for this one. It has never failed me and you really get what you pay for. Great product!!!!

    A Fragile Hinge

    • Written by from LEWISBURG

Good keyboard. But the hinge for use as an iPad cover is too frail. I, for one, would be willing to pay more for a keyboard/cover with a magnetic hinge made of aircraft aluminum.

    We love this...

    • Written by from Riverside

We would highly recommend this. The keyboard is very nice and sits well at a table or meeting. The angle of the ipad while in the upright position is perfect for viewing while typing or listening. This is a functional, well made, good looking product, that works great. It is sturdy, protective, and sleek. The magnets are strong, but we may purchase a neoprene cover to keep it solid during transport.

I have been using this keyboard for over a month now, and have no regrets. The keys feel excellent, the additional functions are great, it's light and it looks like it belongs on the ipad. A fantastic keyboard that I would definitely recommend to friends!

    Really Ultrathin

    • Written by from san francisco

Loving my new keyboard for iPad 2. It looks super sleek and shiny. Keys are comfortable to feel under your fingers and type, in addition, there are several shortcuts so you don't miss the mouse....

The case is really ultra thin and light and it attaches the same way than the smart cover but the back is even better: it protects, goes in sleep mode and it looks just like the back of the iPad..... sweet!!!

Great positioning to watch movie and read too..... Definitely an iPad PLUS !

    Best iPad Keyboard

    • Written by from San Francisco

I have looked at several keyboard/case options for my 3rd generation iPad. This is the one I chose, and I'm very happy with it, though I'd like it better if it protected the back of my iPad. I am a 100 wpm touch typist, and the whole point for me is being able to type at speed when I'm writing something. As with all the choices I've seen, the keys are a tad smaller than standard and the layout is somewhat modified; nevertheless, this works fine for me. If you must have a full-size keyboard with absolutely standard layout, get the Apple Wireless Keyboard and the Incase Origami Workstation. (My own Plan B.) But if you'd prefer something that travels more easily than that and fits nearly anywhere your iPad could go by itself, this is it.

    well made yet annoyigly exposed

    • Written by from Los Angeles

I really like this product on a whole, it connects well, types nicely and works with the app pages. However for such an expensive product you'd think it would be compatible with a back cover. So every time you use this the back side f your ipad is unprotected. All I can say is I'm glad i have geek squad insurance.

    Works like a charm

    • Written by from Naugatuck

Took all of 5 seconds to get set up. Integration with the iPad is fantastic and it actually (finally) starts to make working in non email/text/photo apps (e.g. spreadsheets) 10x easier. One downside, you can't flip it over if you just want to use the screen interface, but (at least for me) it's a minor change in habit more than anything.

    Awesome but with some flaws

    • Written by from New York

    Good.
    1. As one mentioned before, yes, the keyboard makes it comfortable for long-time input in the view from a programmer. I think the reason is the rub feeling on the keys surface, which makes my fingures connected to the keys.
    2. The genius design makes my iPad works like a laptop. I don't need to take my thinkpad x20 around anymore. Instead, the new "laptop" is light, touch-screen and deattachable.

    Bad.
    0. I hate apple products, except my iPad. Even the iPad crashes once a day.
    1. Shortcuts are not well supported. The most crazy one is you're not able to swich apps with the keyboard. But it seems not to be the problem of logitech but Apple.
    2. The poor funcational key design. No one wants to waste a keyboard position for paste/copy/cut.
    3. As reported by other users, the keyboard does have some issues. For example, duplicated input by a single press, it happens occasionally.

Although there're some issues with the keyboard, it's the best one I've ever used. That's why I give it 5-star.

    COOL GADGET, BUT...

    • Written by from West Palm Beach

I LIKE THIS KEYBOARD AS A STURDY STAND WHILE TYPING. THE ONLY THINGS I'M DISAPPOINTED BY IS IT DOESN'T HAVE SKIP OR FAST FOWARD FOR MUSIC, ONLY PLAY OR PAUSE, AND NO BRIGHTNESS CONTROLS. HOWEVER, IT IS GREAT FOR USING AS A STAND WHILE TYPING, AND WATCHING VIDEOS. IT ASLO HAS SPECIAL COMMAND KEYS THAT ALLOWS YOU TO DELETE WHOLE WORDS AT A TIME, AND DOES CONTROL VOLUME. IT HAS SOME UNIQUE FEATURES. BUT I PERSONALLY WOULDN'T USE IT ALONE AS A COVER FOR THE IPAD. I USE MINE TOGETHER WITH ANOTHER CASE TO KEEP EVERYTHING NEATLY TOGETHER.

    Best iPad Keyboard Out There

    • Written by from Centennial

I've had this keyboard for about 2 months now and I absolutely love it. It works perfectly every time I go to use it. Just flip the switch and in about 2 seconds you can start typing. So great.

My one qualm with the keyboard is the glossy finish on the top. I'd rather it be a matte finish because the glossy finish gathers fingerprints incredibly quick. They are easy to wipe off, it's just a pain. But, really, that's the worst thing about this product and it's pretty nit-picky.

Overall, it's better than even using the basic Apple bluetooth keyboard because of its design, ability to double as a cover, and fantastic battery life.

    Almost perfect

    • Written by from Singapore

Very good product. Keyboard is excellent and light. However, I have few small observations:
    a) Bottom of the keyboard is smooth / slippery. Four thin, non-slip buttons on each corner on the bottom of the keyboard would solve the problem.
    b) White plastic strip inside the slot for iPad looks a bit wavy, which is more visible against my black iPad. This has no functional effect, but it visually disturbs otherwise good looking keyboard.
    c) It is pity that arrow keys are not fully functional (scrolling for examplel) with a number of applications. It should be said that this is due to appliactions, not the keyboard. This is a bit strange because scrolling doesn't even work with Apple's mail and Safari and they do sell keyboard for iPad. I hope someone in Apple is aware of this...

    "THE" keyboard for the iPad

    • Written by from Sudbury

I have tried them all, and without a doubt, the Logitech Ultrathin is the best. I wanted light, slim and functional and I got it all with this keyboard. I have very wide hands and rather thick fingers, and I have no problems typing on this keyboard. It works, period. It works every time and it works beautifully. The other cases and keyboards take away from the light feeling of the iPad. This one is designed to be in harmony with the sense of lightness of using the iPad without a folio or other cover. I tried the folios, but they still felt like I was carrying a book, not an iPad. Get it. You won't be disappointed.

    could not be any better

first, to address the user that said the magnets were not strong enough: i suggest you return yours. I can hold my "the new" iPad by the sides and the keyboard will dangle sufficiently securely that I am never worried it will fall off. i don't particularly have occasion to hold it like this...but, the point is the magnets are fine. yours may be misaligned, or otherwise damaged.

if there are any nitpicks, I'd say that using the iPad in portrait mode with the device is an afterthought. ok, clearly there is no magnet in the iPad in this orientation. no, no marks against for the fact that it cannot be secured as it is in landscape. but, there is a little strip of rubber in the slot of the keyboard which is apparently there to hold the iPad in place when in portrait. I come to this conclusion because mine fell out. the adhesive is not very good and the rubber strip began to slide almost from day one. now, some months later the strip of rubber is simply gone--and now the iPad will not stay in the keyboard in portrait mode...the iPad is too top-heavy and it just falls rearward.

again, that's just a nitpick because when in portrait mode, i prefer to just hold the iPad alone, and I put the keyboard away in a 3rd party neoprene case (that just happens to hold both the keyboard and iPad together very nicely). even when the rubber strip was still in the keyboard, the whole keyboard/iPad in portraid combo was very top-heavy and did not inspire confidence that the whole thing would crumble in my hands at any moment. again, just a nitpick and doesnt even warrant losing a star.

as to the rest of the device, it i just perfect. there is not one thing i would change. the aluminum back matches the iPad's aluminum color perfectly. when used in "cover mode" the two pieces are essentially one, with great protection for the screen of the iPad. the keyboard and its shortcuts are very mac-like and become second nature almost immediately.

i've tried the first logitech keyboard (920-003402) and one by newtrent IMP48S. Neither of these can hold a candle to this unit. I would not hesitate to buy this again.
