OK, I love the look of this leather case. It looks just like a book and it fits perfectly. You have to baby the zipper and make sure the edges do not get hit or they will curl up. With all precautions taken this is a great case that can easily fit into any boardroom or college campus. I use mine for travel to protect my products from prying eyes. I am going to order the 15" for my macbook pro- that is how much I love this case. I have one for my air, ipad and soon the pro. My three bookbook's are going to look great on the book case. Just a wonderful idea...I wish I thought of it.

If you like to make a statement and enjoy standing out in a subtle, sophisticated way- definitely click "Buy". I saw this once on google images while I was planning a DIY project for my summer job and knew immediately this was the cover I was going to have come rain or sunshine. Very pleased.

I use it as a case, and insert it into an old pocket sleeve I had laying around. Along with my readings, pencils and iPod, most people think its actually a book from the spine :) totally compliments my eclectic "rebel-nerd" style.

Interestingly enough, most people have no idea it's available at the Apple Store!

Word of caution though: if you find the diagonal grips annoying, you might want to just use it as a sleeve. I used to think I'd find them irritating, but in between the random compliments and gaping curious looks I'm constantly receiving...it doesn't matter so much. I love this product!

love my book book for my mac...you put it away and it looks like a book!! The first one I got the zipper broke. But Twelve South was AWESOME about replacing it in a timely manner...GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Am going to get the book book for the iphone when I get my iPhone!!

This case looks cool but I have to say I'm not loving it. I've had it for several months and I have found that my computer slides out of the elastic bands quite frequently, especially when I've got my laptop on, well, my lap. I also find that the computer gets overheated because the case completely encloses my Macbook Air and doesn't allow for enough ventilation. I'm looking looking for another option - this case has left me underwhelmed.

I purchased this for my 11" MacBook Air. From the moment I took it out of the wrapper, I was instantly pleased. Well made product, and looks like a genuine antique book!! I never take out the MacBook Air from this cover while using it for countless of hours...and computer has not overheated. I get compliments where ever I take my mac too!! Am so pleased with this product, that I'm buying one for my iPhone. Don't sit on the fence with this product! I guarantee you'll fall in love with it! The only drawback is that they don't make one for the macbook pro!! :((

I just got the BookBook case (11") and I love it already. I put it on my lap and the rubber stripes does hold onto my Mac. This is better than the see thru Speeck case that I have which cracks after a month of usage. I still have my see thru cracked case and I put both into this case. It looks wonderful and it fits what I was looking for - durable, elegant, slim and light. Marks go to the 'inventor' of this case - Well Done!.

BTW, I also purchased the Kate Spade green case but it is nothing like this BookBook. I want to sell my Kate Spade case now... I wish I knew BookBook existed before.

Solid, leather construction and stitching. The leather has a strong, "old book" smell - some will like this, others may not. This smell WILL ghost a book bag (I don't mind as I enjoy the smell, but others may not). Mine has a small "12" embroidered on the bottom of the back cover which I didn't see in the reviews of earlier models online which I'm not a fan of. Two zippers close up the BookBook, both have stiff, leather tags to easily open and close it. The zippers appear to be either plastic or metal (feels like plastic to me), and the actual teeth of the zipper is a smooth plastic - scratching is not an issue or a concern. The "rubber bands" that hold the MBA lid at its corners are stiffer and stronger than they appear in pictures. The BookBook does not impede or take away from comfortable typing either. 4/5 stars - would like a stiffer zipper material that does not tend to buckle in under the MBA (unsightly at times), and I'm not a fan of the 12 on the back, it interrupts suspension of belief for me.

Wow... Have to hand it to the folks at Twelve South... this is the perfect case for the Air. The price does seem a tad high, but compared to the other offerings out there (all from like $40-60) it's really not so much more, and with free shipping, definitely worth it.

Only complaint is now my Mom wants one just for her papers and I'm concerned about the way she's eyeing mine... she's already proclaimed "it will be mine" someday.

this is what i was looking for, u can even charge your Mac while the laptop is inside the cover
