Reviews for Mobee Magic Charger for Apple Magic Mouse

I bought the magic charger and have had no problems with it whatsoever, I am completely satisfied with it because it performs as advertised. I would recommend since it beats changing batteries.

I have had my Mobee Magic Charger for 2 weeks now, it seemed to work pretty good, but it was disconnecting from my MacBook Pro every so often.
I found the problem to be, when the mouse was bumped or taped to hard, it would disconnect every time.
I tried cleaning the contacts but that made no difference.
Worse than that, if you take the Mobee battery pack out more than 3 times the little tiny plastic lock breaks.
Also I found that the charge was good but not as long as a decent set of batteries.
DON'T BUY ONE!!!!

... well almost. There is one little niggle where OSX doesn't update the battery status for the mouse unless you pull the battery at first. The work arounds to that is to either quickly pull the battery and re-insert to get the status to update, or ignore the status and just know that your mouse is 100% when the light on the charger is solid green. It is a minor annoyance, but does little to take away from how nice this product is. I was tired of replacing the batteries in my mouse on a weekly basis. I tried the Durecells, I tried the Lithium, I tried various rechargeable batteries including Apples own, and Eneloops, I was still stuck in a cycle of replacing with newly charged batteries weekly. I like the convenience of simply placing it on the pad periodically and letting the mouse charge.

This is awesome for about 6 months then the battery starts to not last that long. Just like anything has to be replaced. Note: might have been cheaper to buy normal AA batteries.

When I got the Mobee Magic I put it on charge for a day or two. By time i actually got the product to fit in the magic mouse, the product doesn't even work. Its missing one of the metal battery connector piece. So from day one the product is useless, don't wash your time buying.

Lucky for me they accidentally shipped two of these to me instead of just the one that I ordered and thank goodness they did! You can only charge the mouse battery when it's plugged in the computer. The only time my computer is on is when I'm using it with my mouse. So I always have that second battery charged and ready to go thanks to their mistake. If I only had one battery, I'd be up a creek when the battery dies, and that's quite often. This would be an excellent product if they included a wall charger. Serious design flaw.

Three words: No More Batteries
The Mobee Magic Charger has worked flawlessly for us for the past 6 months - just remember to park your mouse at night so it is ready to go the next day.
Love the wireless mouse, but hated the battery drain. Saving $$ every month.

I got this as a replacement for poorly performing (not Apple brand) rechargable batteries. The one anomaly I have is that the battery charge level is not reported to the Apple Mouse system preferences (as evidenced by no update on the battery status on the menu bar.) Battery life is pretty good, I've run for 4 or 5 days of hard use without draining the battery.

So I'd rate this as a good product, that performs as expected. But I'm not sure how long I'd need to use this before it paid for itself in conventional alkaline batteries bought in bulk.

I had purchased two of these devices a while ago. They do work very well. Only caveat is the placing of the mouse on it's charger. Wait for the light to turn green. It it's orange, reposition the mouse until the light turns green.

battery doesn't fit into the MM. Tried every way possible, and I get it to just barely fit in and stay. However, it doesn't fit well, and the bottom of the battery sits below the rails on the MM. So the paint coating of battery has worn off.

I've gone back to just using rechargeable batteries.
