Awesome backpack for the daily commuter

    • Written by from Toronto

Bought mine about a year ago, as a replacement for what can only be described as a poorly designed/constructed backpack.
From the first day I transferred my stuff from the old BP to this Thule, I never looked back. In my opinion, and for my needs, it's perfect. Just the right size for all my devices, cables, keys, etc… High quality materials and construction, along with a purposeful design makes it a 5 star in my book.
The hard shell compartment is great for sunglasses and other small fragile items. My Davek traveler umbrella zips perfectly into either of the side pouches too…
Only (minor) reco to the folks at Thule, would be to improve the design/comfort of the carrying handle/loop at the top. Yes I know it's a backpack, but occasionally in crowded spaces (streetcar/subway), it better to carry by the handle. Anyway, if that top handle/loop could be made more comfortable, it would make an awesome backpack even better!

i bought this bag a year ago in light blue. Hands down its been the best backpack i have ever owned. This bag never looks bulky unlike the other backpacks that i have previously owned. The color is majestic. It lures with beauty. The color is a beautiful blueish and greenish. I would recommend this bag especially in blue to any girl that is looking for a durable and pretty backpack. It is roomy and comfortable, And it provides good water protection during harsh weather.

This is a great backpack. It has room for lots of things. The one thing I would change is the chest straps. I love the idea but they need to be able to adjust more. For women with a larger chest the straps hit in a very awkward place. If they could be adjusted about an inch more both ways it would be five stars

I never realized how nice this bag was until somebody stole it from me, it made my 15" Macbook Pro feel incredibly light and comfortable and safe. I am definitely buying another one to replace it.

I got some awesome Christmas gifts this year... a 13 inch macbook air as well as this Thule Crossover Backpack! This backpack really is amazing... if it were legal, I'd marry it, hahaha! Words can't express how much I love it's structure, craftsmanship and design. Go look at one at an Apple store. You won't leave there without it! Hugs!

I had been looking for the perfect backpack. After buying a few that were horrible, I decided on this bag because of all of the reviews. This backpack is awesome for traveling. I have traveled with this bag and I walked around Puerto Rico for 4 days with this backpack. I had my Macbook Air and iPad, and phone and all of the cords. I also had an umbrella in one of the outside pockets and a bottle of water in the other outside pocket and I would completely forget this bag was on my back. I am so happy with this bag.

    This Backpack Changed My Life!!!!!!!!

Before the Thule I had a targus backpack that had terrible weight distribution. It was very uncomfortable for me and my things were not protected. When I decided to change my backpack I looked all over the internet for the best product I could find. When I came across the Thule I fell in love with it. I read every single review out there and they are all true. The material of the backpack is outstanding, if it rains I dont have to worry about my things getting wet because of the weather proof material. My phone is safe in the crush proof safe zone. All of my school materials are safe and my macbook feels like it is living in castle when it is inside my backpack. The straps are so comfortable and the air just flows through so freely that it is very refreshing to carry. The zippers are great and have the water proof coating, they also zip very eaisly and are comfortable to use. The padded back support is very comfortable and all of the small pockets inside the backpack make it really easy to organize all of your stuff. Overall it is the best backpack ever made in the history of mankind, the 25 year warranty is incredible, to think that in 2036 my backpack will still have warranty is unbelievable. I recommend this backpack to anyone that needs a day to day backpack that is easy to organize and wants high quality products.

Had this backpack for three years and it's been great. I'm an illustrator so I carry tons of sketchbooks, drawing tablets, workbooks etc everyday, this backpack has withstand all types of abuse.

    - Padded section prefect for protecting 15inch Mac / other fragil tech
    - Hard shell section protects sunglasses, phone etc easy access for little items
(removable shell is a plus when needing more carrying space.)
    - Front zipper section perfect for chargers/ small notebooks etc
    - Made to withstand serious abuse, thick quality fabrics & perfect rain protection
    - Generous padding on shoulder straps great for heavy loads & prolong use
    - Side zippers holds all kinds of bottles
    - Light weight

I've travled to several countries with this backpack, went mountain climbing and generally had it thrown around. If you want a backpack that will protect your laptop, be a workhorse and last for years the Thule crossover is the best I've had. Worth the price.

I have had this bag for over a year now and its construction is amazing. I use it every day and it has seen many rainy and snowy days yet has kept all the contents dry. I love the crushproof compartment for phone and sunglasses. I highly recommend this bag to everyone. It is well worth the price, as the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for".

    Uncomfortable straps

    • Written by from New York

15 of 31 people found this useful

Bought this because it looked great and thought it had everything I needed. Once i put a laptop in it it got very small. Could barely fit a notepad and the brick plug. The final straw was the strap cut into my shoulder until it was painful. They have no flexibility at all. Also the top strap, that I have to use on the subway, was just as stiff. Looks great, feels awful. Returned after one use.

    Incredibly handy

    It is very lightweight, durable.

I mostly like the way it sits and fits on my back the most: it's as if I'm carrying no weight compared to another similar-weighted backpack. Fits really well in a plane under the seat.

What I like the second most is the layout of the pockets: easy to access all items and they stay organized well. The space is enough to fit my computer, charger, and other papers, pens, kindle, cell phone+charger.

I was about to get the Incase Nylon: smaller and lighter-weight (but not by much). Overall, I am glad I got this bag instead.

Withstood a ~3-5 min downpour with no problem.

    Bag for business and beyond

On the balance: a well-made bag that can do double duty in office environments.

I went in to the Apple Store looking to purchase a messenger bag for my 15 inch MacBook Pro to use for the office. The svelte bags from companies like Hex fit the laptop but little else like power supplies, USB cables, portable HDs, and so on.

I didn't want a back pack initially, but after inspecting the stitching, the zippers, and the compartments in the Thule Crossover Backpack, I was sold: the quality of this bag is obvious in the details (crush proof compartment with locking closure) and it's able to accommodate my laptop, my iPad, my portable gear, and several books with ease. While backpacks wouldn't normally look great in an office environment, the white-dot contrast stitching on the black nylon is subtle but attractive to me.

    Everyday Bag

    • Written by

23 of 24 people found this useful

I bought this backpack to be my sort of "everyday" bag if there's such a thing. I guess it's like my own idea of having a "handbag" but for guys? The reason behind this is because I have a lot of stuff that I carry on a day-to-day basis like my laptop, its charger, my cellphone, wallet and iPod. Other accessories include my display adapter cable, my external hard drive, my wireless mouse and many other small things. If I leave the laptop at home, I can probably get away with having everything in my pockets but I don't really like having the bulges in the wrong places. I then decided to get a backpack for "everyday" use. Now I can conveniently carry around all my everyday items (plus the accessories that I may not necessarily need every day but now have the benefit of having, just in case I unexpectedly need them). Of course now I would not have to have to stuff my pockets anymore every morning (both a hassle and does not look too good).

Overall, I like the bag, it looks very sleek and simple yet possesses a lot of storage capacity. Because this bag hugs my back and is lightweight, I am definitely making this my new everyday "go-to" bag. Whenever I go out the front door, it'll be with me for both my "everyday necessities" as well as some accessories that I may need "just in case".

I recommend this bag to anyone who is looking for a great everyday bag to house their laptop and its accessories in a compact bag to take with them every time.
