Does anyone know whether Russia uses the same plugs as Continental Europe?
I am going on a Russian river cruise. I know the ship is Russian, so I assume it has the same electrical outlets as they do ashore in Russia. Don't know whether the standard Continental European plugs are used in Russia or not.

The standard socket type in Russian Federation is TYPE F, which is used in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Portugal, Spain and most East European countries. Some Soviet-era sockets still feature narrow, outdated TYPE-C pins, but it's rather hard to find those nowadays - so rest assured, you're safe :)

I'll be travelling to India with late 2009 Imac 21.5 inch model. Is this travel kit enough for imac to work without any problems in india?

I was in India 8 days ago and found combo outlets nearly everywhere that will support European and american style plugs. One hostel only had UK style but they had an adapter that worked for me. I have not needed a voltage converter (220-110) in over 10 years anywhere as most everything, including my mac, easily handles 110-240v automatically. The transformers are mostly a scam these days. not needed unless you need to plug in your 1967 electric typewriter while travelling.

I am assuming your talking about the cable that runs from the wall into the adapter? The answer to that is no.
If you talking about the charger, it comes with a USB dock cable to connect your iPod or iPhone into so you can leave that on the desk while the adapter plugs into the wall.- Answered by Tristan P from Spence

I am traveling to Amsterdam. Will this work with their 220v to charge my Macbook Pro? I understand they use the round, two prong outlet there.

Yes, your MacBook Pro will work just fine with its original MagSafe power adapter which is rated for 100-240V (~15A, 50-60Hz). As long as you can find the correct adapter from this travel kit, replace the two prong plug on the original MagSafe power adapter with the 3 prong plug (2 prong with 1 ground) and you can now charge your MacBook Pro.

It's because it states it works with "Apple MagSafe Power Adapters" so if your MacBook Pro has the magnetic power adapter like mine does then it will work with yours.

Be careful, Australian adaptar is not exactly the same as Argentinian adapter. The power line is inverted. If you'll use it with a metallic case product maybe you'll receive a little discharge.
