Best AnswerOn Nikes page, under FAQ, they state it's fine to shower with, just not recommended for swimming, surfing, etc.

Does the Nike Fuelband measure steps or activity? Meaning, does it measure if you do other types of activity besides steps...like yoga or housework?

Best AnswerIf you move your arms - or specially the arm with the band on - then yes, your effort is measured. It's not magical, it uses movement sensors. So walking will earn you points, but cycling won't - unless you wave your arms wildly when cycling :-)

Best AnswerThe device will keep track of time and displays the time on the LED. Internally it does keep track of the date (if you don't sync it up for a few days, it does know which day you did what fuel points), however it does not display the date for you.
Also in the newer firmware updates, you can now change your time using your iPhone -- without plugging into a computer (for example if travelling or with daylight savings time).- Answered by Randy W from West Chicago

Can the Nike+ Fuelband be used around an ankle to better monitor activity?
I've been reading good reviews on the current model, however I have been curious as to why Nike chose the wrist over the leg/ankle. As a competitor bodybuilding, I'm beginning my cardio stage and would enjoy improved tracking of my workouts. This doesn't seem helpful when arm movement is measured, especially on leg workouts, etc. I was considering the extra large model, but it does not state the diameter size. Does anyone know if this can be used on an ankle? Thanks!

AnswerYes it can. You can do it through the settings when you plug the band into the computer (using the USB cable).

How does it get the workout information from the Nike+ enabled treadmill at my YMCA?
I'm interested in getting the Nike+ Fuelband, but I want to know that the workout information generated by the Nike+ enabled treadmill at my gym can be transferred into the Fuelband.

i've got my Nike+ fuelband 2 months now and its great! to answer ur question; No, u cannot swim with it. However, one can shower with it and have it on while washing ur hands.. just in case i do not recommend showering with the valuable fuelband :) enjoy- Answered by Bader A from Los Angeles

Does the Nike Fuleband work with the latest iPads? I have purchased the Wirthing scales and they do not even though advertised to. Would like someone's opinion who has actually connected the two. Also, would you have to take your ipad running like the iPod when using this device or can the information be downloaded after your run via blue tooth from the fuleband? Thanks for any assistance.\
