Anyone with an account may use Square, however opening an account has their own age restrictions which vary from state to state and bank to bank.

I asked Square technical support this question and received the following response: "We do not perform a credit check when you first sign up for Square. We simply take the personal information you provide and run it through a database to verify your identity. We do require that you add a transactional bank to your Square account. We require a transactional account in the case of refunds or chargebacks, and cannot input funds on electronic/online accounts, or rechargeable bank cards."

Answer
You are able to generate cash receipts that can be sent to the customer and logged in your account, but Square does not facilitate the deposit of cash into a bank account. Only Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover cards are accepted.

Via the item description, it is a free-form text area, so you can add whatever you'd like. The tax can be set up through the app prior to the sale itself, and changed if/when necessary.
