Answer
no, the ipad is only compatible with most bluetooth keyboards, and apple's specialty ipad keyboard. This keyboard is NOT bluetooth, it instead uses its own USB dongle.

I just bought a Mac Pro laptop...Will this keyboard work with a mac pro laptop ?
- Asked by Gianna G from Maplewood

Answer
This keyboard will work with any Mac Computer. So yes this will work with your new Macbook Pro! The downside to this keyboard is that you have to use a USB port to use this keyboard. It isn't Bluetooth. The only reason i like this keyboard so much is that it has the numeric pad on the side. I dont understand why apple doesn't make a numeric wireless keyboard!

can I plug the USB device needed for the keyboard to work into a thunderbolt monitor or does it have to be plugged directly into the mac book air?

Best Answer
The previous response is WRONG. You can plug the unifying USB module directly into an open USB port on the Thunderbolt monitor and it works fine. I use an MBP and an MBA with the Thunderbolt monitor / Logitech keyboard set up and works without a hitch.

Answer
No, and it's the ONLY thing I don't like about this keyboard. I am trying to train myself to unlock the caps lock as soon as I am finished, but old habits die hard.
I love every thing else about this keyboard.

is it capable of shortcuts on the Apple keyboard like commandP? The logitech I have now does not do this.
- Asked by Judy B from Leesburg

Answer
Yes, it has command and option keys. Click on the picture of the keyboard to see a close-up, then hold down the mouse button and drag to see different parts of the keyboard.
It sounds like you have a keyboard with Windows keys, like Alt and the Windows logo. Try typing Ctrl P or Alt P (or even Windows P) to see which combination brings up the print dialog box.- Answered by Bob D from Mountain View

is there a usb port on this keyboard for a mouse? or will i have to use the apple magic mouse (and batteries).
- Asked by Vince L from Minneapolis

Answer
To answer your question directly, no, there is no USB Port to plug a corded mouse into the keyboard. Instead, Logitech uses a "unifying" USB wireless adapter that allows multiple Logitech devices that use this technology to be controlled by a single USB adapter. So if you happen to own a Logitech mouse that utilized the unifying technology, you'll only have to take up one USB port on your laptop and you could control both the keyboard and mouse. I am currently using the Logitech MX Anywhere mouse, and I do need to put batteries in that, however, I can use that mouse and this keyboard and only take up one USB Port to control both devices. You could also use your Apple Magic mouse (and batteries) as you indicated with this keyboard.

Are the home and end keys supported?
Do the home and end keys jump to the beginning or end of a line of text in any Mac OS application, like cmd-left/cmd-right? I'm asking because I'm using a Windows keyboard and most applications don't support it.

What is the stroke depth on this keyboard, and is it deeper than a typical Apple Mac Pro keyboard?
I prefer a slightly deeper stroke than on Apple keyboards because of the tactile feedback. Fewer mistakes.

Answer
Bought the keyboard recently. Has the same shallow stroke as the MacBook Pro, somewhat softer. Chose it as it is most similar to the laptop's keyboard.
