does an iphone4s case fit an ipod touch 4g?

an iPhone 4s case will not fit an ipod touch 4g. the iPhone has a flat back and the ipod has a curved back therefore it will not fit . some silicone cases that can stretch may fit the ipod but not that well

Does the Speck CandyShell for the iPhone 4 protect it against accidental drops? If not, how protective is the case exactly?

Yes. it has a hard case on the outside. and soft jelly rubbery thick texture on the inside. it only exposes the front screen but still protects it with a bump on the rims. Ive got mine and the worst drop i ever get is at around 2meters high. there may be dings on the case but the iphone still perfect.

no; iPod touch 4th generation is much different hardware from the iPhone4. cases made for one or the other will absolutely not fit both.

Yes, just make sure you check the packaging. It should say something that indicates that it fits all iPhone 4 models or that it is universal.

Yes it does. I purchased one for my 4S and it fits fine. The antenna at the top is inline with the aperture in the case for the mute switch.

It is a little bit hard. You need to out your hands on the back of the case and honestly pull. It isn't that hard to take off, once you learn how.

Yes, I believe so. If you go to the Speck website and look at the case for the ATT model you will notice the camera hole is different than the one on the verizon Iphone 4 case.

I have had the white case on my phone for over a year now. It does not get dirty / show dirt easily. Additionally, it shows scratches FAR LESS than the black case. Hope that helps. :)

Mine is not scratched and I've had the case for 4 months. I honestly don't know how it would scratch because it can't move inside the case.

Picked this up yesterday at Fry's. Returning today as it interferes with the mute switch. This is an ATT iPhone 4S. Heard talk that the phones from other carriers may have buttons in slightly different position.

Mostly the sides and the back, but there is a rim around the front screen that will not let the screen touch the surface under it

Does it fit white IPhone 4, have previously purchased a speck cover which fit my old black iPhone 4, however did not fit the white iPhone.
I have been informed that both the black and the white iPhone 4 have the same specifications however when I returned the speck cover the store assistant attempted to fit another speck 'candyshell' cover on to no avail. Once again the covers went on perfectly on a black iPhone 4. They also attempted to try another white iPhone 4 to ensure that I hadn't received a faulty one. It did not fit on this either.
This was an older model speck cover (still designed for iPhone 4).

It fits as long as you don't use any of the plastic sizing adapters that come with the alarm clock on the dock
