Moshi Mini DP to HDMI Adapter with Audio Support

Macbook Pro 15" (Mid 2009)

I would like to ensure before I buy this adapter.
My only concern is to view the display on a HDMI LCD TV, will this adapter work for my Macbook Pro just for video only? For audio, I connected Bose Speakers to my Macbook Pro via USB port, hence I think the audio shouldn't be an issue as I still can hear the sound from the Bose, am I right?
