It only says MacBook, can i use it to plug a second HDMI monitor on a MacMini
I'm thinking about buying a Mac, but I don't want to duplicate all my hardware, I was thinking about using a KVM for my mouse and keyboard and since I have 2 HDMI inputs on each of my monitors, I was thinking about connecting 1 on the HDMI port and using this cable to connect to other from the Thunderbolt port, is it the way to go?

You can use this adapter with a recent Mac Mini. I am not sure about previous models but in all likelihood you can use it. Look up the tech specs for your model, tech specs can be found on the main Apple website. Go to Support > Mac > Mac Mini (right hand column) > Tech Specs > choose your model. Check the 'Video Support' section. You are looking for 'Mini DisplayPort' or 'Thunderbolt' output.
