is the more expensive mbox worth it?

there is quite a disparity between the $269 mbox and the $400 version. i am a songwriter working at home, doing demos, etc, work mostly alone, have a player come in now and then. will the less expensive model work for me?

    It depends on how many inputs/outputs you need. Other than just the I/O's, this unit has the same preamps across the board (all the way up to the $1000 model). This ensures you will have the same sound with any of the MBox's you get. If you need more inputs/outputs you'll need the other models.
