Is it possible to buy iMovie 11 as a standalone application?

I don't want or need the others; I have aperture instead of iphoto; I don't make music. So how can I get just the iMovie upgrade?

Yes, if you have Snow Leopard (which I believe you needed anyway for iMovie 11), you can install the Mac App Store via Software Update and purchase *just* iMovie 11.

  • For some, yes: just run the 'Mac App Store' app, and buy iPhoto'11, HOWEVER: this will not work if you already have an old version of iPhoto, because the Mac App Store will think you already have iPhoto'11 installed, even though you do not have.
