There is no native support for VST in Logic. However, you can use VSTs in Logic via. Plogue Bidule (loaded either as software instrument, effect, or via. Rewire in stand-alone mode).

From what I understand, there is an Audio Unit wrapper that can wrap around VSTs, though I have not tried it personally.

Yes, you can use VST's in Logic 9.
However, VST's are commonly used on mac as AU's (Audio Units). Check your plugin whether it has an AU version.

No VST plugins do not work with logic. AU (audiounits) is the plugin format for logic
