    yes i've got the iphone 3gs and have just bought the portable music system works alright for me.

  • No. my 3gs brings up a message saying this accessory not compatible, but then it seemed to work anyway. Great I thought....but after playing it for a few hours one day the phone bricked itself.

    So I got a new phone but it also says its not compatible - too scared to leave it in there now. I have been searching for answers and no one has been particularly helpful. Bose on one instance said that it should work full stop. Then on another instance they said I need to put in an adaptor plate. Tried that...still no go. Its been frustrating and now I'm ready to get a 4s...but hey....reviews I've read say that 4s is also not compatible! This stinks.

    You can always play it via an Aux cable but you won't be able to use the bose remote to skip or navigate.
