Will this work on an iPad 2 WiFi

I have recently purchased an iPad 2 Wifi and wondered whether I could use an SD Card Camera reader with it. Most of the Card camera readers I have seen require connection to a USB port which is not fitted to the iPad. I only have a Lightening connector on my iPad and the camera readers I have seen with Lightening cables appear to work with 4th generation iPads only? Grateful for your advice.

    No the iPad 2 has a 30 pin dock connector. This is the new lightning connector found on the iPad 4, iPhone 5 and new iPods. This will not work with iPad 2 (the only iPad it will work with is iPad 4)

    You can not us e this adapter on your ipad 2 but it will work on the ipad with retina display,ipad mini, iPod touch 5th gen, iPod nano 7th gen and the iPhone 5
