Is the newly released time capsule (2011) same as the previous outgoing model? eg. 2TB (2011) = 2TB (<2010)

    Yes, they are different, but you would have to crack them open to see how.

    New WLAN stack, and the 2011 model has double the power of the 2010 model in g/n modes. This means the signal travels further, and throughput will be better at further distances.
