Can I export a MIDI file that I can then use in a program like Sibelius to make an orchestral score?
In Sibelius, a music notation program, I can create MIDI files which can be imported to GarageBand and, I assume, Logic. I don't think you can do this, export MIDI, in GarageBand (at least I couldn't figure it out). Will Logic allow me to?

Yes. This function is located in the file menu under export. But you know that Logic Pro has a reasonably sophisticated score notation capability? I often dash off a piece in Notion, then export to Logic Pro to clean up the score. It makes a former copyist frisson... Seriously, Logic Pro might not be quite as competent at notation as Finale or Sibelius, but it's more than adequate for 95% of my work.
