What is the best choice for student:macbook air or MacBook Pro with retina display???

• Pro -- battery is way longer. Better graphics, more powerful. Get the SSD and carry a usb thumb drive if needed, so you don't have to worry about banging and ruining the hard drive while in your bag. But if you want to play a lot of games etc, you will need the larger hard drive, it's 750 gb I believe, just treat your macbook well.
  
  Air is light, but you don't need something so light anyway.
