Macbook pro retina 13" i5 or i7 processor?

I will be going to college next year for mechanical engineering, and I will be purchasing a 13" macbook pro retina. I am unsure in which processor to get, the 2.6 GHz i5 or 3.0 GHz intel i7. I occasionally will be using engineering programs like CAD, and I will be using programs like Final Cut Pro for video editing. Also I plan on having this computer for the next 4+ years.
