MacBook Air Vs. Macbook Pro???

I am just starting to get into graphic design and want to get a Mac. Besides graphic design I would use for normal everyday web searching. I have never had one before and cant for the life of decide between the MacBook Air Vs. Macbook Pro. Can anyone please help me?

    Macbook pro's are much better for heavier work like graphic design. Though they are slightly heavier but it is not much. The macbook pro is the better macbook in general
