I want to purchase a mac pro with two displays. should I get a thunder bolt display or normal led display..?
please note that the prices for both are same. what's are the differences?

The difference is that the new one required Thunderbolt to work. Make sure the Mac pro you are getting has Thunderbolt instead of just Display Port. If you do have Thunderbolt go for the newest displays! Yes, the price is the same. There seems to be no other difference.
