I have MacBook Pro OS X Version 10.6.8 - can I download Facetime for Free?

No, not for free.
To run facetime :
The required OS is 10.6.6 or later. You need enough RAM, a cam and mic and enough bandwidth( all the obvious stuff).
And, you need to buy the app from the app store for 99 cents. I just asked 1 800 my apple to learn the answer.- Answered by William O from San Bruno
