Mac Mini connected to 24" LCD
    Wired Keyboard
MacBook Pro (which I sometimes connect to the monitor and the keyboard)

I have the Bluetooth Mighty Mouse that I've used with the MacBook Pro when connected to my monitor.
The quest of finding a mouse started when I bought the Mac Mini.
It was a hassle to reconnect the Bluetooth Mighty Mouse between the MacBook Pro and the Mac Mini.
I didn't want to get the wired version of the Might Mouse as I don't want to have anymore wires on my desk.
So I started looking for a replacement mouse. The idea is to get a wireless mouse using the new mini USB dongle that doesn't protrude too much. I can connect the dongle to the keyboard so when I switch the keyboard, it will also switch the mouse along.

I debated between the Logitech or the Microsoft Mouse as they were the only ones who had BlueTrack/DarkField.
All of Microsoft's new mice with BlueTrack technology only came in travel sizes (small) for laptops.
That narrowed it down to only Logitech with DarkField, and I didn't want the smaller Anywhere MX so the Performance MX was my only choice.

However, this was also about the time the release of the new Apple's Magic Mouse and that I read one of the customer reviews that the driver for the Performance MX had some issues with Snow Leopard thus hanging the system as it wasn't really 64-bit compatible.

I thought that maybe I would just get another Bluetooth mouse: One for the Mac Mini and one for the Macbook Pro and that I can probably live with having another mouse on my desk.
Well, I tried the Magic Mouse for 1 day and immediately didn't like it.
First off, the middle button was missing. When I tested the Magic Mouse at the store, I didn't pay too much attention to that small detail, but it became clear that I needed the middle mouse button. I immediately returned the Magic Mouse.

Meanwhile I also told a friend of mine that I bought the Magic Mouse instead because of the driver issue with the Performance MX and Macs. He said that he didn't have issue with it as he had just bought his 2 days prior and has been using it with his 17" Macbook Pro.

So I went ahead and bought the Performance MX and sure enough, with the latest driver, the problem was non-existing.

I am so glad that I finally bought this mouse. I kicked myself for not just going with the mouse from the start.

DarkField technology lives up to its hype. It really on all of the surfaces that I tried it on. Of course that doesn't mean that I've tried it on everything.

I like the fact that it comes with a USB charger so I can charge the mouse and that the mouse was usable while it's being charged. One caveat, though, you still need the wireless donge, even when it's connected to the USB cable - This cost the rating 1/2 a star.

The other 1/2 of a star minus goes to the price. At $90, that's a little too much. Although I did have a $25 gift certificates so it only cost me $65 (which is what this mouse is worth). I'm sure the price will come down once more BlueTrack/DarkField mice become available. Also, maybe get an OEM version where it only comes with the mouse and a USB charging cable - doesn't include the pouch and the DC adapter to lower the price.

Other than those two, I can't seem to find anything else wrong with the mouse.
Hyper-fast scroll wheel is awesome, especially if you read a lot of long documents.

However, When my old, Apple Mighty Mouse's scroll ball broke, I started looking for a new mouse. I considered the new Magic mouse. However, the Magic mouse seems too small for comfortable use, so Apple was out. I wanted a large-sized mouse that had a button like Apple's exposé button. I turns out many mice do. I found the Logitech Performance Mouse.

This mouse has exceptional tracking on all surfaces (works on glass too!). The forward and back buttons work great on web browsers and the exposé button rivals the one on the mighty mouse! The scroll wheel has a innovative new feature, the power to switch from a free-spinning wheel to the old-fashioned clicking scroll. I wouldn't recommend the zoom button on the free-spinning mode because it zooms too fast.

Long story short. i got this mouse and it support mission control since I'm running mavericks X. and its had back and forward button for browsing. i don't feel like I'm missing out at all. without the magic mouse.

Today I'm actually going into the store to exchange my magic mouse for a touch pad. so i only use my mouse for precise photo editing and gaming.

good luck. this is a great mouse without compromises. supports mac fully.

Most of the positive reviews are obviously from people who recently bought the mouse, and I felt the same when I bought it, wow, it's great, best mouse ever etc. 6 months later and the mouse is not working well at all. Doesn't track properly, problems clicking and dragging. Upon doing a search, plenty of other people have the same issue and Logitech support does not help them at all. After buying Logitech mice for the past 12 years, I am going to have to find another brand now. Their earlier mice were so good and lasted ages, but it seems recent products have a higher failure rate than previously.
