    Straight Up WOW!!

    Written by TA from Columbus

I just got mines in the mail today, and after using it all I can say is WOW. The main thing I liked was the look, next was the abilty to pair two different devices at the same time. Right now I have it paired to my iPhone and MacBook Pro. With the MacBook Pro I'm using it to make my VOIP phone calls. Let me tell you again, WOW! I was using a corded headset but when I got the Discovery 975 everyone told me that they heard me more clearer, and I heard them better as well. Lastly, I just love the case it's a solid build. All in all worth every penny, ALL 13,000 OF THEM...LOL. More

    Best of the Best!

I have tried so many bluetooths I have lost count, but this one truly stands out above of all the rest. I thought I found the best with the plantronics pro but it was a little bulky and after a while I did not like the look behind my ear. The Discovery 975 has all the same technology as the pro and it is very comfortable especially if you were it all day. The charger case will give you up to 15 hours of talk time. Buy this one and stop your searching. More

    Finally a Great Bluetooth Product!

I purchased 2 other units ( Jawbone 2 and The Maverick new model ) and returned them both due to lack of performance and construction. The Plantronics 975 had reviews that seemed legit and not in-house company hype so i went ahead and made the purchase.
Pros- Great sound, great fit, easy pairing that STAYS Connected!!! Awesome charger that never lets u run low on battery life. An actual tech support person that you can speak to if problems arise. A great looking product that wont get in your way if u wear glasses or sunglasses.
Cons - So far none. A bit pricey but after being let down by the other same price headsets i feel the price was fair.

My advice...don't be fooled by fake reviews or other product HYPE. Go with a reputable company like Plantronics.

    The Skinny on this Unit

    Written by TN from Vancouver

    Nov 23, 2009

I have been having a very good experience with this product. It came charged right out of the box so I used it right away which is a plus. Pairing was a snap and took less than two minutes that included reading the instructions. Sound levels and clarity are consistently very good. Pretty comfortable in my ear (comes with 3 sizes of silicone fits) even after a 2 hour call. Medium volume (there is only soft, medium and loud settings) is my preference in quiet places while loud is good when I'm on the street or in the car (I could converse clearly while driving in a total downpour). Battery life is amazing as I store the unit in the battery charging case so I never run out of juice (It's rated 5hours talk time and one week standby). The case itself is a real selling point for me since it will recharge the unit (rated to recharge depleted unit at least twice) and I don't have to turn it the headset off. Nice backlit LED on case tell me what the charge is in the headset and case. This means I can travel for several days without lugging the adaptor as long as I don't go over 15 hrs usage. Finally, I love the look. Classy and understated in my opinion compared to the more bling looking Aliph Jawbone series or the Plantronics Voyager Pro boom mike which were in the running.

On the downside, the 975 is pricey, does not pair with my iPod Touch G2, and did not work with the mini-USB cable I had so recharging means using the adaptor. Fair trade, in my opinion, given the many things I like. I'm hard pressed to find a better headset.

    Confused??

    Written by JL from Peterborough

    Oct 20, 2009

Based on the great reviews, I tracked this down and purchased it at an Apple store. First impression was great design and great fit! Because I wear glasses, not all headsets with ear hooks fit well, but in-ear options are not always the most comfortable or secure. But the 975 fit great out of the box and the silicone ear gels are very comfy!

I have both an iPhone 3GS and 3G for home and work. So I paired my 3GS first. Took a long time to discover the device but it connected successfully. My 3G could not locate the device so I took it back to the store. With a the help of a Genius, we tried to pair the device with multiple 3GS and 3G iPhones from store employees with very little luck. So I returned it and purchased another (but tested in the store first!). Same problem. Very slow pairing with the 3GS, didn't like the 3G and it also needed manual pairing after turning the device on and off.

Needless to say, I didn't purchase it after all. Anyone else have similar experiences??
