My new nano still won't play on either of my sound docks
Sure, the nano fits physically, thanks to the adapter, but it still won't play on either of my sound docks. I've read through man y forums on Apple's website and on others and this seems to be a universal problem. So far I haven't found a solution other than buying a new sound dock. This is sad because, A) I don't feel like shelling out another few hundred dollars and, B) I LOVE my retro-looking Specktone sound dock that worked beautifully with my old ipod. …

Works for me!
I just received the adapter this evening, plugged it into my dock, and away it went! Soooo pleased, especially after reading the previous reviews and not expecting much. BTW, my dock is a Memorex foldable travel speaker... …

not the adapter's fault
Just because you bought a little piece of plastic to hold up your iPod, doesn't make the 5th Gen. nano compatible with your device s. and I'm glad it's a 3 pack, i lost the one that came with my iPod. …

This may seem like a stupid question, but I got one of these with my new ipod nano 5th gen. What does it do? Does it keep it vertical? Whats it for?

this is for devices you may already own or purchase that play, charge, etc. your ipod nano the devic e should be shaped the same way as this adapter and you fit it in and makes it easier to plug in the nano because the charger is on side of this model and is centered on most devices and classic ipods. It is for connivence so every time you go to plug in the ipod you dont have to try and line it up which could also result in damage to your ipod or device. …

The iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S dock adaptors will allow the iPod Nano (6th Generation) to fit in, but it is slightly snug on the back. The clip on the back of the Nano presses slightly on the rear of the dock adaptor. Ive been using the iPhone 4 dock adaptor in a Bose Sound Dock along with the iPod Nano (6th Generation) for a few months and have not had any issues with it, it is snug but not so much as to have me worried that anything will break. …
